Merge Academy all spaces filled

In Merge Academy, all of the spaces are filled and there's no way to clear a space.  Someone said they have a trash can, but there isn't one in my game and there are no instructions on how to play.  ...

Click on item you want to discard.  At the bottom of the screen there will be an option - either a garbage can will show or the option to sell your item for the posted amount of crystals.  If you sell the item, the crystals get added to your goal total.  I just found this out myself.  Good Luck!

    Thank you, nowhere does it say you can sell it for the crystals.
