Merge Academy Badge Challenge Jan29

Treasure trove is not active/available for me right now.  Playing the classic game.  As noted I tried (again) the following

Selling items for crystals to fill orders (is this not the challenge?).  

Selling single items (as another player suggested) -- the 4 crystals shown in screen shot below eventually showed up after continued play.  Is selling individual items the target of the game?  If so, instructions are confusing.  Thanks.

This circled one is the one I "SOLD" for 101 crystals this morning.  Took time to create it so that's why I'm a little upset that it didn't count in the Lap 5 challenge.  Trying your suggestion.  If that is the case, the instructions are misleading (to me) -- selling means completing the orders.  Thanks.

It's very confusing and misleading, at least to my way of thinking.  They've had this particular challenge once before and it created the same type of confusion.  It isn't worded very well in the description.  This morning, I completed an order and also sold a group of crystals just to see if they would give credit, nope.  It is only for selling individual items for almost nothing.  Like I said, it feels like a lot of wasted effort to me.  I didn't like the challenge before and my opinion hasn't changed.  

I'm up to 47/80, so it works, it's just slow.  I'm mainly selling the magic cups (big green ones) and pies from the apple crate (since it doesn't take energy, that helps) at this point.  The cups generate quickly, too.  I hope this helps!

If you can not fix merge that we can move on with our marathon, could you at least let us pick another badge to do.  Here we all sit unable to do anything and time is wasting away

Thank you.  selling individual items (not to customers) is working.  Agree instructions are confusing and don't particularly like this challenge since it takes a while to build up an item that is worth something.  Will try to apple crate.  I have four of those and never get requests for their products.  

Another player helped me figure this out.  Not selling to customers, but selling (or in my opinion getting rid of) items that are not needed.   I understand that not all pay out crystals. Thanks for your time and effort on this.  Guess I need to read the instructions more carefully -- if it doesn't say "sell to customers" then it's sell individual items.  Thanks again Lanna (and a shout out to shanonrowland for the suggestion).

Thanks so much for sharing more details about what you've tried and not tried. You never know what little detail is the key here. 🙂

For example you mentioned this:

selling individual items (not to customers) is working

By selling to customers, do you mean completeing the order missions like this on the side?

Or are you clicking the item under the merge table to sell it?
