Hello! The special treasure hunter game ended yesterday, looking at the time you must have caught it at the very end.

You are correct in your other posting - it is very possible this is not a browser issue - the clearing your cookies and cache, updating your browser and keeping our devices up to date is suggested because Pogo is a free browser-based gaming site (no downloads - click and play). Therefore, it is very important to keep our devices current, clean with room to move. Why? Technology.

2025 has not only seen a jump in technology but a massive leap - there is a huge convergence into AI. This not only affects us as users but everything using computers (and I mean everything). This isn’t just evolution—it’s a rewriting what is possible.

What this means for us as players and all companies using computers - frequent nonstop updates, patches, security, upgrades, hiccups, lots of hardware pressure. Our browsers alone go through an update every month, let alone the 80 to 150 active processes operating behind it.

It is possible to have an internet drop on our computer while watching TV using the same internet- Yes.

They can experience different performance issues depending on how bandwidth is allocated and what’s happening behind the scenes with background updates or syncs on our devices.

*Additionally, in 2025 Cox has merged with Charter Communications (the company behind Spectrum) The merger has stated faster deployment of next-gen cable tech, offering gigabit speeds, lower latency, aka Charter will bring faster and better service. + AI-Powered Optimization.

If you are seeing "internet failed" while gaming - I highly suggest:

Power Cycle Your Router: Your router keeps a log of every device that connects—like a digital diary of your network. Turning it off and back on clears temporary logs, refreshes connections, and can even help apply updates. It’s a smart security habit and a simple way to stabilize your network.

Check Your Ethernet Cable (CAT Cable): The cord from your router to the wall matters a lot. Look for the number printed on the cord —Cat 6 is the gold standard for speed and reliability at this time. Upgrading this cable can eliminate hidden bottlenecks and drops. This small tweak can make a big difference.

Close Unnecessary Websites and Apps: As you mentioned - Closing all other websites while gaming is essential, it frees up system resources, especially RAM and CPU cycles, which can also make a noticeable difference in performance.

Please share this advice with anyone else you may see having "internet failed" alerts.

You're doing an excellent job and spot on by clearing your cookies and cache!
Just keep an eye out for those constant updates for our devices and remember to restart your router at least once a month (I do it every week -we have about a dozen things in our home living off the wifi/internet). A significant amount of patience will be needed during this period of AI technological advancement.

🌸 Make sure to store up your energy by the end of the month for Merge Academy - it is scheduled to be the Game of the Month for September 2025 + 9/10/25 is also scheduled to have a weekly Merge Academy badge "Complete 15 orders this week". So, plan accordingly.

Hope this helps you and others who may read this ~ Best of luck to you!

The disconnect clearly happened at the worst possible moment. While the energy balls you lost were earned through gameplay rather than purchased, I understand that doesn't make being unable to save them during the internet disruption and time building up to that energy any less frustrating.

I provided the technical information about keeping devices and connections optimized because these steps can help reduce disconnection issues in the future. Browser-based gaming and gaming online are particularly sensitive to connection stability. I am a Pogo and Merge Academy player myself and follow the steps provided diligently and have seen the lost connection pop up myself in times past.

Here in forums, we cannot help with account or purchase issues due to privacy and security in a public forum. If you would like to speak with EA Help to further discuss this matter you can reach them by following the steps in this article >  [POGO] How to Contact EA Support | EA Forums - 12464874

Additionally, you can reach our community manager Pogo_Sconnie and the Pogo Moderators, they are our Pogo support as well.

I hope all this information helps and that your future gaming sessions run more smoothly. Thank you for being such a dedicated long-time member since 2001 - players like you are what make this community great. Best of luck in the upcoming September Merge Academy Game of the Month!

Sorry I guess I don't make myself clear enough and the glitch you are describing should Absolutely be fixed I am sure pogo has people programming that is smart enough to do at the very least that...by the way I just realized it also took away from within my storage locker 2 Balls of energy that I had won if this is how ea is going to handle glitches maybe we should not pay for the membership... I can absolutely understand how upsetting it must have been to lose connection after investing so much time and energy into the game. It’s especially frustrating when it feels like all that effort just vanished—and I’m really sorry that happened.

Unfortunately, Pogo doesn’t restore progress and the game’s current design requires players to manually hit the save button before exiting to ensure progress is saved. Additionally, the event has ended for everyone.

I know that’s not ideal, especially in situations like yours where the disconnect wasn’t something you could control. Again, I’m really sorry for the inconvenience and hope your future gameplay goes much more smoothly.

yes it was the end of that game but I had been playing it since it started and had spent ALOT of energy there and when it lost connection it also took all of my stored energy! by the time  (40mins) I got all this into action yes the game had ended before i could store anymore up... Don't know how anybody could call this solved? And yes the game lost connection but the site (POGO) had not it should have put me back into the game where I had started from (the last save) and should not have taken all of my energy on top of all my game play.
