To help things sync up, try: 1️⃣ clearing your browser's cache and cookies > 2️⃣ closing down all tabs and windows > 3️⃣ then relaunching the browser to log back in.
Hello! Normally when players get banned upon logging in, they will see a Big Red Alert of the ban warning and the reason why (it won't let you access the site at all). Additionally, you would've received an email alerting you of the ban. There will be no confusion or uncertainty, you will be completely aware 100% of a ban.
Like our games on Pogo, chat can also receive updates + it has graphics and can also be very sensitive to font size, color or even certain words. Also, sometimes our browser replaces characters with placeholders when fonts or encoding break. A few common culprits behind text showing up as #### include:
Browser glitches: Cached data or outdated extensions can interfere with how text is displayed.
Font rendering issues: If the forum/chat doesn’t support the font you’re using, characters may be replaced.
Forum filters: Certain words, symbols, or formatting can be considered sensitive.
Encoding mismatches: Text saved in one character can appear as gibberish or blocks.
Copy‑paste artifacts: Pasting from Word, PDFs, or styled documents can introduce hidden formatting that forums/chat don’t handle well.
I sent a message to a friend and viewed a chat session in a game; at this time, it appears to be working as designed (names have been blocked for privacy).
At this time, I would follow the steps of:
Clear your browser cache and cookies Old or corrupted cached files can conflict with new game data, leading to incomplete loading or sudden freezes. By clearing this removes outdated data so the browser can load fresh assets without errors!
Update your browser and device Outdated browsers may not support the latest game scripts or graphics rendering, causing compatibility issues that result in a variety of issues. Updating ensures our devices have a clear pathway to speak with Pogo servers.
Update graphics drivers (Laptop/Desktop only) Graphics drivers control how your hardware processes visuals. Outdated drivers can misinterpret or fail to render complex animations, leading to stuttering, crashes, etc. ➡️ As gamers we need to look for updates at least once a month, visiting the graphics card vendor’s website to get updates is best.
Please give the troubleshooting steps a try, this very well could be a minor hiccup or blip.
I am playing on a just out of the box totally fresh, Surface Pro. It isn't on the user end ; it is on EA. I don't care if it is only a handful of people ; we are paying customers!

What’s happening The Pogo Team is fully aware of the chat issue affecting both Club and non‑Club members, across multiple devices and browsers. This is not caused by anything on your end.

At this time, we’ve been asked to wait for further updates while the team continues working on it.
⚠️However, since this issue has already been reported and acknowledged, none of these channels will be able to fix the chat issue right now. The development team is already working and investigating this for us all.
Important note The hashtags do not mean you are doing anything wrong, using bad words, or violating chat rules. It is simply a technical issue.
Updates All new information will be added to the main post at the top of this thread as soon as it becomes available.
It appears the development team is incompetent. You may want your technical team to repair the lack of chat availability instead. That is if they are any better.
More attention should be paid to your customers wants than to jacking up your revenue.
No chat for how long now?
This site continues to retire old games that were relaxing to play and chat and replacing them with games one must continue to pay to play, and we can't read hashtag.
Might want to step up your level of customer service because you don't have any.
I agree with you. I don't understand if this has been reported and they are working on it, why no updates. It has been going on for weeks and no updates. This doesn't make any sense. What is the team doing to fix this issue.
