When playing Scrabble, I keep getting msg that "time has expired", or that "opponent has extended my time", and it's only been 5 seconds, or 15 seconds, or just returned from intermission. Although, it's happened for a while, lately, it's gotten worse, especially today. Please check this out, as it's very frustrating.
ive been having major issues as well and cant get help or figure out how to get help. my issue is the timer runs out on me after 10 seconds and wont let me play so i have to pass my turn in order to continue. use to love playing this game til it changed over. and i only play the robots just a fun time for me. now its an annoyance. will not be renewing my pogo membership again!

Not only it is running out too soon but throwing you out. I AM now looking into new game sites, maybe they can keep their scrabble game going right, or at least try it out after making updates to it.
All the games have timers now - how do you turn them OFF? EA is infamous for not caring. I guess Pogo is another tragedy of EA.

While every game does have an inactivity timer built in, the turn or forfeit timers are separate. The host of a table game can adjust the forfeit timers when setting up the rules of the table. In SCRABBLE, you can set that anywhere from 45 seconds to 10 minutes per turn.

Also note, there is no way to make the timer long enough. The maximum time is too short!

This does not address the problem of when playing with other players. I will have over 20 minutes left and pogo takes all those minutes and says I have run out of time. then I cannot play any more, I have to forfeit game that penalizes me. Please fix this problem
