I’ve played this game for over 8 years. With this Service 2.0 changes, it’s the first time I’ve considered leaving the game. After using almost all of my 4 million simoleons to upgrade services, I still have cities that are saying I don’t have enough things for waste etc. I go into the game and I just get warnings everywhere, it’s not fun now. Then of course I have to somehow find neo coins that I don’t have so my Omega buildings are okay. It’s too much! I’m not sure how you can fix it but from what I can see, others are just as frustrated. If there was a way you could give people back the coins they have spent or help mayors who are level 99+ who have been in this game a long time, with the different money they may need that might help. You have given us some service buildings but we have to either delete a lot of buildings or upgrade more devices as those buildings don’t fit everywhere. Plus you didn’t give us enough water, electricity, waste etc service buildings so now, someone like me with a huge population, I’m now unable to play properly as I’ve tried to buy more services/ upgrade service buildings and once again I’ve hardly got any coins to spend after spending millions. Plus the other frustrating thing with this is that if you need to delete one of the buildings you’re giving us such small amounts to sell the buildings, we spent a lot of money to get those higher service buildings (ie fire station) and you’re giving us under 5000 coins back that doesn’t really help at all.
If this continues I’m done as these changes have stopped me enjoying the game.
Hi, I have the "red services" problem with my city. I downloaded the game few days ago on my phone and the bug made it impossible to play. I dowloaded the game again to restart on my tablet and at level 12, after having restored some abandoned houses (for right lack of services), some building report an unjustified lack of services, of electricity and water, although I produce enough of them. I stopped to play in order to not to uselessly spend money (as I did the first time, destoying my game). I simply can't use Simcity now, there's no reason to play with this bug, as every upgrade of a building will disconnect it from the web of services. Now the problem is with three houses, but the first time had reached almost all the city. Here some screenshots.
I hope you can fix, as many have (or had) this problem. Thank you. My city's name Seconda Delfi
"I am posting here at the direct request of In-Game Support, though I have been documenting this since early December. This is not just 'feedback'; this is a record of a systemic failure in game logic and player support.
The Reality of the Rollout:
The Silence: Despite 'staggering' community outrage across Reddit and these forums, moderator silence has forced players to spend millions in resources to fix what is clearly a technical bug.
The Support Loop: I was told my case was escalated, then told it was a 'typo' and it wasn't. I was told the bug was 'unreproducible,' then told it was a 'known issue.'
The Financial Toll: As a direct result of being told by Advisors to 'rebuild roads' and 'upgrade manually' while 'Gifted' buildings were hidden in the UI, I am out 16,500+ SimCash and 1.5M Neo-Simoleons.
Technical Failure (For the Devs): The 'Fix!' button in the City Report proves the logic error. The report identifies a building as 'unserviced' even when the master service meter shows a 200+ unit surplus. This confirms the Capacity-to-Population check is disconnected from the UI-to-Player reporting.
I am not looking for a 'thanks for the feedback' badge. I am looking for a Specialist to acknowledge the Manual Ledger Review I have requested through support. Do not close this ticket as 'resolved' until the veteran players who saved this rollout with their own wallets are made whole.
Below is the chronological data of your case to illustrate the significant delay:
EA Support Interaction Timeline (Dec 2025 - Jan 2026)
Dec 5 - Dec 6: Initial Crisis & Faulty Advice
Dec 5: You submitted detailed feedback regarding the "Forced Re-Investment" required by Service 2.0.
Dec 6: You reported a catastrophic 600k population loss and 5 abandoned buildings. Advisors Khushi and Partha claimed the issue was "incomplete road networks" (a blatant deflection) rather than a logic bug.
Dec 18: Attempted Resolution & Mounting Costs
You reported that stabilization was costing millions: 1.5M Neo-Simoleons and 1M Simoleons, alongside the loss of the Viking Ship seasonal upgrade.
Jan 1: The "Support Wall"
You spent an additional 8,000 SimCash on a Maxis Manor just to stabilize a region due to ongoing service failures.
Advisor gave generic advice to "just upgrade," ignoring that the high cost of doing so was the core complaint.
Jan 12: The Escalation Deception
Advisor officially apologized and stated your case notes were being "forwarded to the relevant channel... for review".
Jan 20: The "Retraction" Phase
Advisor reverted the status, labeling the bug a "strange occurrence" and trying to move you back to "General Feedback".
Advisor admitted to a "typo error," stating they actually "didn't forward it from our end," effectively resetting two weeks of progress.
Jan 25: The "Supervisor" Pivot
Advisor stated that compensation is impossible and that escalating "will not make any changes," but finally offered to forward it to a supervisor only after you persisted.
Summary of Documented Losses to date:
16,500+ SimCash (Maxis Manor and Viking Ship upgrade).
1.5 Million Neo-Simoleons (Emergency 2.0 upgrades).
1 Million Simoleons (Roads and repairs).
3 Million Residents (Permanent population collapse during rollout).
This documentation serves as proof that the "diligent work" they claim to be doing has resulted in a net loss of two months of your time and extensive saved resources.
Yes having extra space back is always nice, BUT, nobody wants to have to waste their gold and neosims updating buildings OR destroy their designs. It's not as simple for everyone as it is for you.
This game is not worth it anymore. I also have been at it for many years. Some sevices are fully upgraded but still showing demand. I am spending money I spent years to accumulate to get no progress. Bad move EA.
I checked on my city after a few days and lost over 770,000 population in minutes it's impossible to fix the problems if the tax income is so low. Get rid of this terrible update.
If this is mess ever reversed all players should be refunded in the simoleons and simcash they wasted trying to fix their cities.
I just got the Services 2.0 update. I have 2 fire service buildings (small and basic) covering a certain area. I upgraded the fire buildings to their full capacities and had no complaints, but I discovered later that something was wrong with my fire services.
There are two buildings covering an area but the game over burdens the smaller building. It should intelligently spread the demand between the two services but it isn't doing that. Now, even though the buildings are sufficient for that area, I still get complaints and abandoned homes because it keeps shifting all the demand to the smaller service building.
