Thanks for starting a thread!
I don't like the way it forces me to buy certain buildings before I can access the ones I want. Looks a simple cash-grab on the surface, but its forcing me, for example to spend the gold keys I need for war cards before I can spend any SimCash. I'm not buying gold keys, I'm just stalled on enjoyment. Where's the benefit to anyone?
It also seems to cancel any population boost for a building that doesn't contribute to the index. The building states it gives a 50% boost, but when I place it, I get 0. Maybe a glitch, or a llama, but it feels like false advertising.
I can see how it could potentially help my planning, by simplifying the population boost for that specialization into an easy to read index, an improvement over the bunch of awkward blue lines that go off-screen. I still see the blue lines in Mayor's pass, which isn't part of the index. If the index accurately shows the population boost, that could help to plan how I want to reach target populations for opening regions, for example. But that remains an if.
Ok then, I and I expect a lot of ppl will be completely confused with this concept. I am lvl 99 been playing 10+ years now have every region open and have no empty spaces.
I will not remove or change my city or regions because of this new concept because some dodo decided it would look better or whatever we are supposed to do by putting specialised buildings together.
I just hope that the special buildings I already have placed don’t get removed by AI as I’m thinking this could happen after this testing phase is completed.
