Bug - Stuck in region

I talked with support today - apparently, the bug I reported was new to them, and they suggested I post here to see if anyone had any ideas while they worked it out.

Problem: I was playing like normal, moving between regions, COM'n and chatting with my club. I was in Sunny Isle and tapped to go to Capital City. My game closed. Not crashed - it just minimized on my device. When in Sunny Isle I can chat with my club and use my trade depot, but trying to move to another region or use global trade will close the game window. I'm able to close/reopen the window, stop/start the game and I'm always in Sunny Isle.

Device: Playing on Android with a lot of open memory. No play/response time issues before this. Same issue on/off wifi/data. I can load the play fine on another device (Bluestacks). Have not installed or downloaded anything to the device in a while.

What I tried: Updated Android, cleared game data/cache, cleared device cache, uninstalled/reinstalled several times, logged out and in again. restarted device. I updated the game this morning and I still have the issue. 😭My next thought is to reset the phone but that is a huge pain and I'd rather avoid it.

If anyone has had similar issues OR has other ideas for what to try, please let me know.
