For most of my assignments I get between 870 and 1080 point. I had 2 assignments worth 2000 points and the initial one was 1500. I am now on my last possible assignment and will end up with around 12000 points (I always played the ones with more points). The leading person in my league currently has over 22000 points. How can this be? Are there assignments worth many more points than what I have seen? How do I get them? Pure luck?
With 2 days to go I am currently in 1st place with only 13290 Points. I completed the maximun amount of tasks you can and the most points I received for one task was 3000. I did not do all the tasks with the most points cause at first I didn't realize you get a new task to replace the one you complete. I thought all the tasks you get when the contest starts is all you had to choose from. My first two tasks I did were quick easy ones and I am not sure of what the point values were. So its just wait and see where I end up when this one ends.
I also started with a few of the easier, lower point tasks because I did not know that new challenges were added after completing one. I thought everyone would get the same tasks and whoever completed them the quickest would be at the top of the leaderboard. I noticed one player in my contest went from 0 points up to over 9000 in about 10 minutes somehow. The highest point option I had was 3300, followed by 1300, and all the rest were 1000 or less. I don't understand how this is a real competition if everyone gets random tasks worth random amounts. The playing field is not equal for all groups, not even for the 100 mayors in the same group. It brings to mind the old comparison saying "apples to oranges".
I'm going to be absolutely raging if I don't get promoted. Level 55 I am on, and my maximum request was for 1710 plumbob points for 11 firepits (I realised quickly to do the ones with the highest points). I have one task left and when I do it I will sit 6th in the table. How is it far that the guy on top has 8000 more points than me, with 30 levels less than me, just because he gets tasks that give more points. Absolutely farcical, everyone should have the same amount of points to get, its about who doesn't fail their tasks and out of those who do it, who does it quickest. Very, very, unhappy.
I am livid about this because winning the prizes is important to enjoying the game more. But it sure does seem rigged and that will seriously diminish my enjoyment or willingness to make any future in app purchases. It just makes no sense the points that some people have when I never even had the ability to get that many. It was never possible for me to win my league and I am very upset about it.
If you are getting ready to complete upcoming tasks while completing the current task you can easily get several thousand points in a short time. Also some of the higher point tasks can be completed quite quickly like producing metal and wood. But you have to have space and/or open global trading spots to dump it.
