Do weekly boosters and season boosters sum up?

I have a doubt that I've posted to EA Help Service. Surprisingly, after having explained it three or four times (they pretended not to see the question), they said it was understandable to have this doubt, but they couldn't check it or take proof on the game to inform me.... So if EA is unable to explain if buying (with real money) a booster is useful or not, I can only ask the players. Please let me know if someone here knows the answer:

In the game they offer to buy different boosters to increase in 50% the amount of cat and dog coins we can get. But for each coin there is the possibility of buying the weekly booster, which would apply only for the present week, or to buy the season option which will last until the end of the season.

I thought they were excludent, and the season booster would be the same as buying the four week boosters appearing along the season, but a bit cheaper. So I bought the season booster.

Surprisingly the game still offers me to buy the week booster, so I have the doubt if it's a bug in the game (not cancelling the weekly booster once you bought the seasonal one), a tramp for idiots like me (you buy it again and it does....nothing!!) or if maybe the 50% increase of the week booster would sum up to the 50% increase of the seasonal booster I already have, and they would do together a 100% increase of coins (which I think it would be THE ONLY WAY to achieve 225.000 cat tokens needed to upgrade the pet amusement park).

I think I have a legitimal right to know it before buying it with real money, and that information should be clearly explained in the game, but EA has decided to make it all a mistery and obligue us to risk money for nothing.

I've looked for that info everywhere in the game and in forums and I found anything. I've asked the EA Help Service and they failed to help (Oh, surprise!! They only help you wasting time). I don't recommend to ask them about anything. They never never never say anything. My only possibility is finding here someone who has risked to buy both weekly and seasonal boosters for the same coin type and who knows if they increase 100% the initial amount.

That is my question. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Yes, I know you are totally right. Thanks a lot for your advice. I feel miserable in this game. I've tried many times to quit it because it's ruining my life. It's complicated to leave it all when you have inverted so much time, effort and money on it. I know it's an addiction.

I also thought in the possibility of buying that weekly booster and asking google for a refund if it makes nothing. I know it's useless asking EA for it. A few seasons ago there was also a booster that changed nothing after being bought. It happened only to a few players, because we wrote in forums and I found more people with the same issue. I tried many many times to ask EA for a refund giving lots of proofs or the problem, with no answer from them. But I got my money back very quickly just by asking Google for it.

Thanks God at least we pay through external services, Google for Android and another one for Apple. If we paid directly to EA we should assume it would be lost forever.

I'll try to quit this game and I'm sure I'll manage one day or another... Thanks for your words ✨

  • I have bought the saisonal boosters and this week the weekly boost of the  cat coins and it had been added.  So i have this week 100% boost for cat coins. If you buy this week the weekly boost it  also works for already earned and  not  jet claimed coins. But when this week is finished the weekly boost will get lost for all not claimed coins.

Thanks for your answer. I totally agree with you. I have most of my buildings stored, just to have them accessible to be installed in design challenges... So years ago I loved this game for the possibility of building a beautiful city and change it my way. In fact, I still struggle with all the infinite and absurd tasks they implement because I want to achieve all new buildings they offer. At first it seems possible with effort but finally they put conditions that can only be solved with real money. And in the end, many years after the beginning I find myself involved in a type of eternal and painful non-paid job. I can't enjoy this game, I simply hate it, I never have time to enjoy the city because all the hours I spend on it to end COM, events, designs, trains, wars.... are already too much. I understand it's only bussiness for EA, but can't they really realize that the ones who enrole a city game just want to build a city? Not neverending strategy, production, mechanichal tasks??? This difference will make most players quit the game. I'm pretty sure they have done it. I just see it in wars. Most clubs have only three or four active players at most. It's only bussiness for EA, but if they think about the different type of players in different types of games they should know that the building lovers prefer pay straight away for a beautiful building and not be obligued to, besides, painfully work in absurd tasks to achieve it. No way...

  • My advice is just put the cat park and dog park into storage when you get it like I have. It’s the worst season to date and I expect we will get some other stupid one next month. I really wish EA can read and understand us the players when we say we don’t want their crap they are foisting on us. I have over a thousand items in my storage as I only want to build my city with how I want to build it not have these useless items taking up my valuable space so I can’t build! Give us more land to expand in limestone or green valley!

  • Report this to the App Store (either Google Play or Apple) and ask for a refund. If that doesn’t work contact your bank to initiate a dispute. Don’t waste your money on this game. You already know this company has no respect for their customers, and customer support is non existent. Find a better way to spend your time while you’re at it. Stop allowing yourself to be a a victim as this isn’t the first time you got scammed on a purchase in this game.

That is the best advice I can give.
