How do I get rid of stars

They're in the commercial buildings. Sleigh is fashion, wreath is gardening, present is hardware store.

Any advice on the star issue??

You have to produce items, can’t sell anything Christmas related

They did say that after the event has finished Daniel will buy them, but that doesn’t help you now

You should see the factories / shops glowing. That makes it easier to spot

Definitely the worst idea in a long time…stars that you can’t sell on the market or otherwise dispose of, except to build useless seasonal items

I got rid of my stars by turning them into holiday gifts (hardwear store) then used the gifts to make socks (farmers market) then convert the socks to frosty coins in the holiday exchange to buy something worthwhile.  

Let us sell those useless STARS! You can’t even sell the other Xmas items. Worse idea ever! Just Borked the game even more. I’m Done!

I'm simply just going to not do any of the assignments that involve the Christmas items. I empathize with the OP, I get it if we cannot sell the items on global, but the fact we cannot even see the materials and items in our storage makes it hard to manage inventory. And I am not going to produce stuff and convert it to currency, I'm reaching middle age and the "spirit" of Christmas has left me long ago and I simply do not want silly santa buildings. They were fine as rewards from event tracks, but honestly, an entire season devoted to a commercialized holiday is excessive.
