@hotdog9wiki yea me to basically anything that you can find on the internet I have done multiple tomes. Support contacted me & told me to try someone else’s account on mine & mine on someone else’s. But I have done that I have an old crap city from years ago under my main account. That one works fine on my iPhone & my Android. Support is just telling me all the same troubleshooting steps that are online.  Thanks for the help.

  • So for weeks my SimCity buildit was not opening. Now it is open but I’m stuck on a regional city. Every time I try to return to capitol city it shuts down. I have uninstalled & reinstalled, I have offloaded the app. This really seems like a server issue to me.

  • Hello @jfrparr82

Sorry to hear that. There are some basic troubleshooting steps that you can take which hopefully will fix it.

    1. Do you have lots of open storage available? (About 1 GB at least) If not, try clearing some out and loading the game again.

    2. Have you restarted your device? Hopefully this can fix it.

Also you said you are stuck on a regional city. Do you have other regions open and can you travel to those or does it crash every time you leave that region. Are you able to travel to the Design Challenge region?

If these don’t fix it I would recommend contacting EA if you haven’t already. Make sure to contact them from in-game by going to settings, then help, then contact us. This will take you to the support site where you can explain your issue in detail. I would recommend you include all the troubleshooting steps you already tried so that they can better figure out a solution.

    Best of Luck!

  • After weeks of trying to figure out why my city won’t let me in I think I may have found the problem???
I have a Facebook account that I only use for games (privacy). I also have my main Facebook account that I do not link to anything.
When trying to diagnose the issue with my city one of the things I did was delete each Facebook account off of my phone only allowing 1 at a time. I cleared my cache, removed permissions from Facebook, & reinstalled the app with both  Facebook accounts one at a time. After completing the tutorial & connecting to my main Facebook (not used with my simcity) it showed the city connecting was the one that should not be linked at all.
With both Facebook accounts it connects to that city. Technically my Main Facebook acct. (not connected to Buildit) should have created a new save.

what do I do? No response from EA

also yes I have uninstalled reinstalled did the hoke pokey & turned my phone about.

  • Hello @jfrparr82

I did some more searching and found a possible solution.

Delete and reinstall the app again and then make sure the Facebook app AND your browser are both logged into the account you want to use.

    Good Luck!

    *snip*

EDIT by EA_Jason: This won't help resolve the issue. Restoring an entire OS will not fix it either.

    Hi @jfrparr82,

In this case I can only suggest reaching out to our support team to have this investigated.

Read more about how to contact our support team in this Help EA article: https://help.ea.com/in/help/simcity/simcity-buildit/support-for-simcity-buildit/

@Aldebera I don't think that troubleshooting will resolve the issue. It is often the case for mobile games that the updates are forced and that you cannot revert back to an older version of the app.

In this case it is looking more like a lost/overwritten account and that's not something that we can help with through the forums. In this case reaching out to our support teams would be the best course of action.

It was merely a suggestion.  While you are correct in what you say, a lot of people do not realize that updates usually introduce a series of patches that can cause issues.  This is especially true if there are permissions errors, etc that can prevent certain things being written.  Apple is much better than Android at preventing issues arising from updates, nevertheless stuff can happen.  On android this is more prevalent, and they give the ability to uninstall specific updates.  iOS does not have this feature since app store is built into the OS.  This is why addressing the OS is the easiest approach.

There are plenty of other suggestions on this thread.  Mine is simply a last resort approach.

@EA_Jason with respect, your response tagging me would suggest you did not read my submission. There was nothing about my post that suggested reverting to a previous version of the game itself. Rather, it was a way to ensure the part of the OS that is responsible for handling other apps, such as App Store, and Play store have an issue, and the suggested fix was proposed.
