Shield buster - the most stupid improvement in the game

@roccodonovan8  Thanks for clarifying for the writer..don’t know why they mistake us for EA employees, neither of us request xp’s. @NerfProbe  I can’t provide a date when it will happen if ever, but I can define the event...when the liability exceeds the required investment. 

Addressing the real purpose of your post you didn’t like my response to @ASAP1717  which is great (I appreciate different opinions) and by your awarding an xp and subsequent rhetorical question it’s a pretty clear indicator you’re a run and hide proponent. If you didn’t like what I shared, you really don’t want to read my prior response to @Duckups in this thread when I shared how a true competitor responds when faced with adversity yet respects his competitors enough to show up and play. 

Here is the true bottom line...it’s all about respect and the inevitable fact that what goes around eventually comes around - sometimes Karma is lovely.

I never was a run and hide opponent, in fact I disliked those wars too.  Of course with shield buster there’s no such thing as run and hide, so your allegation is meaningless.  What I am is strongly anti hacker, so a tool which empowers them I view as negative and will remain negative until such time as the hacking is resolved (preferable) or there’s another adjustment.

Your calling others names while taking a stance on a game mechanic which by your own admission you have only a single experience with is weak. Play and see what we’re all talking about with excessive hacking out there before dismissing everything from others who play this daily.

Or are you one of the hackers?  See, two people can play this unfounded allegation chat.

@NerfProbe  Obviously I was mistaken and extend my apologizes, but let’s truly define the issues...1st is the issue of hacking and cheating. If you’ve read anything I’ve written on this matter you would know that I have called EA into question for their efforts (or their contractors) in addressing this matter and I even answered your impossible question with a simple fact of what it’s going to take. In reference to your assertion that perhaps I was a hacker I will simply say I wish I had the skill set required but unfortunately that’s not in my area of expertise.

The 2nd issue is the “run & hide” strategy and any reference to “name calling” was in reference to that strategy so there would be no confusion to what I was referring to...believe it or not folks have a tendency to manipulate what was stated. I absolutely disdain this “strategy” and the frustration that it’s caused on so many and quite frankly EA has addressed the Issue with the shield buster (as a way to make money and yes not that well thought out and considerably late). Quite frankly (as I’ve stated before) I would much rather compete with a hacker club...at least they show up and play and you actually get rewarded for your efforts) Too many folks have to win regardless of what it does to the game or their opponents be it cheat or hack or hide to achieve that goal and unfortunately don’t understand that winning or losing is only a byproduct of the competition where the real enjoyment of any contest lies.

You are correct, by design I have limited “hands on” experience (and I wish none) - what I do have is a wealth of feedback from talented players who understand the true nuances of the game and have shared their experiences and are encouraging my return. Maybe I will on that date that is the answer to your impossible question.

@PinnacleValleyI know for a fact hundreds (thousands? ) of teams have completely quit since shield buster was instituted. Why? Because they aren't morons that get it's not fun and there is ZERO strategy as it's currently constructed. The previous format allowed teams that weren't as strong to compete and sometimes have really exciting wars. Explain how there is strategy now when a team can use shield buster UNLIMITED amount of times. There is literally none, the point was to win or lose not waste simeoleans on pointless wars with crappy rewards (exactly what the developer wants). Now it favors those who spend money and/or have no lives and you can't argue differently. My team & I aren't coming back until it's limited or removed.

@Duckups  You are correct the wars need to be shorter as we’ve discussed before (I’m shocked EA hasn’t figured out the financial benefit of this yet), the shield busters are a viable solution to the boredom...although as I stated before they need to be limited in 2 aspects, the total number a club / individual can launch during a war and the number of times and frequency a city can be for no better term “busted”. Hackers and cheaters on the other hand completely abuse the system and not just shield busters but that’s the focus today because folks can no longer hide...just a thought, why not take full advantage and collect the inexpensive war items readily available by simple repairs until you come across a non hacker war?

@ASAP1717  I certainly will not question the creditability of your number of folks that have walked away due to shield busters which is a good thing because it’s a trigger to @NerfProbe  unanswerable question, this certainly is a liability (loss of revenue) that starts the conversation. To clarify I never said unlimited shield busters was a strategy...but you must admit it’s quite effective. I have stated clearly that “run & hide” is absolutely not a strategy but a limited game plan that relies heavily on mistakes from your opponents...a foot race to the bubble. A well coordinated club will never lose to this approach and honestly many top teams reverted in kind to save resources. This created absolute boredom especially for folks who actually have a life and could only participate in one war per week during the weekend...folks simply wanting to relieve a little of life’s stress and figuratively blow something up and the selfish, self centered individuals that invoked this approach created great disappointment and frustration for really good people so they could WIN...the only thing they earned was disdain. 

As a young man I played on a very good basketball team and a few teams decided to invoke this “strategy” also known as the 4 corners and our Coach who happened to be the Assistant Football Coach invoked a corrective strategy...our shield buster so to speak. With 12 players with 5 fouls each we had 55 to give away and since most of us played football we were well adept at making them count...never took more than 25 to correct that strategy. My point is you have to learn how to compete (forget the hackers) or simply take the loss and go home.

@PinnacleValleyThe busters allow max use of jps. And yes, I collect everything I can against hackers. It's how I know they cheat, I'm quite sure they hack in game cash, and get millions.

My storage is 300 items for war, and I cant do what they do, and at the same time rebuild in 30 seconds after being bubbeled, let alone use the same attack 80 times.

So yeah. I believe they use unlimited cash for their exploits.

@Duckups  Sadly you’re right...but that’s hackers. I am curious, why would they have a need for simcash if they can replicate war items and have limitless energy?

@PinnacleValleyUm. Cash can buy all but keys. But maybe both then?   But cash skips and buys the stuff for weapons of choice, and buys stuff to rebuild.  So 20 mill cash per war, lol

Even without shield buster, the team with better disasters still win. If the enemy gets way more points from your cities as compared to you, he is still going to win the bubble war, you know.

And I disagree that the with shield buster, it is not fun. Wars now are so fun. There is this excitement that we never know who is the winner until the end. We got 40k lead and lost at the end before. We had also turned things around and won the wars before. This is how competition should be like. Not hiding after the lead to win the game. Do you see any games where one side just goes, “Okay, we call it a day now that we have the lead,” even before halftime?
