Special roads traffic issue after latest update

Hi Mayors and Devs,

Has anyone noticed that civilian cars stopped driving on special roads (Gravel, Cobblestone, Sakura) after the October update? They seem restricted to service vehicles only now.

Is this a bug or an official change? Thanks!

  • I kindly request you to look into a serious traffic mechanic issue introduced in the latest October update.

    Issue Overview & Background:

Previous Behavior (Since last year's update up to the pre-patch version):

Special paved roads, including Gravel Roads, Cobblestone Roads, and Sakura Roads, functioned exactly like standard roads without any vehicle type restrictions. Regular civilian cars used to drive smoothly on these special roads. (Please refer to attached Screenshots #2 & #3 showing regular civilian cars driving smoothly on these special roads.)

    Current Behavior (Post-October Update):

Ever since the latest patch, regular vehicles are completely barred from using special roads once again. They can now only be accessed by service vehicles like fire trucks, police cars, and ambulances.

My Question: Did the dev team intentionally roll back special roads to their legacy initial code, or is this an accidental regression bug caused by the patch? Will this be fixed?

    How This Affects My City:

When these roads were first released, I didn't use them because of the service-vehicle-only restriction. However, ever since you optimized them over a year ago to allow all traffic, I heavily integrated them into my main road networks across my entire city.

Because of this sudden rollback or bug:

Traffic Ecosystem Paralyzed: My once bustling and lively city has literally turned into a ghost town.

For Vehicle Spawning Failure: Resident cars and buildings can no longer spawn vehicles if their route requires crossing a special road. As seen in Screenshot #1, that coastal avenue in my district used to be packed with heavy commuting traffic during the day; now, because of this special road restriction, the street is completely dead and empty.

Isolated Networks: The few cars that do spawn are strictly trapped within local standard road loops and make U-turns as soon as they reach a special road interface.

    Requested Solution:

Please treat this as a high-priority bug and restore the road functionality back to allowing all vehicle types.

If this rollback was done intentionally due to requests from players who preferred strict service-only rules, please add a toggle switch setting for special roads rather than forcing a complete reversion on everyone who spent months building around this system.

    To the Community:

If you also rely on Gravel, Cobblestone, or Sakura roads in your city layout and are experiencing the same dead traffic issue under this new patch, please leave a comment below so the dev team can see how many Mayors are

    affected by this.
