The customer service person didn’t even bother to read my message or this thread. I just got a copy and paste answer:
“Hello Mayor,
Thanks for getting in touch and for your continued support.
After reviewing your email I can see that your city storage count has been decreased after the end of last Mayor season pass. I know this can be annoying to lose storage capacity which was earned as a reward. If I would be in your place I would also be really annoyed and disappointed. However, I will assist you with my best possible knowledge....”I DID NOT GET EXTRA STORAGE THROUGH THE MAYOR SEASON PASS NONSENSE. I PAID FOR BLOODY STORAGE THAT HAS BEEN TAKEN AWAY!!!
Tell your devs to check their code, because they’ve clearly written something that checks for everyone who increased storage during that stupid promotional phase, regardless of how their storage increased, then stolen it. Check your code before you arbitrarily remove items that people have paid for, especially if you can’t be bothered to read customer complaints properly.
Yeah, my storage held 180 items yesterday but today it only holds 175. Guess I'll just keep playing and hope someone finds a fix in the meantime.

That’s the exact email I received. No more EA games for me! I waste too much time on games anyway, so anything that offsets game developers’ tricks for keeping us playing is a blessing in disguise.
it stated that any storage spaces gained threw the mayors race season would be taken back when ended it was just a bonus deal while the season was active
edh...no need to shout, my hearing is just fine. My response was directed to ozy, the initial poster (when I read his post, you had not yet posted - otherwise I probably wouldn’t have - when I finished I believe I was about a minute behind you) and as excited as I am that you fully understand I didn’t write my response for you and perhaps not even ozy but for anyone that may not have understood. I can appreciate your frustration and in many ways probably share it with you, but there’s no reason to project it toward someone simply trying to assist others.
With that being clarified, good luck in resolving your issue.
One day, It suddenly dropped from 285 to 280.
Restore it.
I logged in from the game center
Your concern has been raised in the support section if you want further information...there are 2 things happening: 1st - all players that received additional storage during the CoM contest have been reset to where they were previously (it was identified as temporary and only lasted until the end of the contest) and more importantly 2nd - there are folks that not only got the temporary expansion but during the time of the contest expanded by normal means by investing storage items and the program reset didn’t consider this possibility (go figure) and have a legitimate complaint.
If your situation is the 2nd then contact technical support through the in game help section and report your concern, if your situation was the 1st take heart in the fact that you are far from alone...good news is you have room for growth unlike others of us - it was nice while it lasted. Good luck.
Hi Rocco, good to see you back...perhaps this is just another aspect of the lack of accountability, oops - I meant “privacy policy”. Take care my friend.
- @pooqzzz @PonnacleValley is correct. You almost definitely lost them when the CoM contest ended. I personally lost 30 storage spaces.
