Story event is ending a day early?

The event track just disappeared for me. I am gutted, I was 300 points away from the fortress and didn't notice that it would end a day early. Why do they keep changing this stuff. Wasted hours for nothing now! I did so many assignments while I already reached my cap. This is the only new building from the event tracks I could get when I look at the collection.  

Really, really disappointing. Same here! I was just 150 points away from the end and assumed I’d finish tonight. 

Same for me…not acceptable to change the rules in the middle of the game …

Same problem. But other member from my club said that everything is ok, event is still going in his city...wtf? :(

I was 50 points away! I was in the middle of an assignment when it suddenly disappeared.

Funny, my contest of mayors and event track deadlines were in sync three hours ago. And now the event is gone. I tried restarting the game but no avail

This sucks. No warning. I was also just short of completing. If it isn’t reinstated i won’t be spending anymore money on this game and may stop playing altogether 

Apparently iOS users are getting penalized again. Android users still have the extra day! I too would have completed today but now it has gone. I agree, it sucks!

I saw that last night. But today, I still have the event track and it has 15 hours left.
