That brings up an interesting example...My bluray player did a BDLive update and broke the ability to watch a number of blurays. Seeing as how the player was the fault and not the discs I was told "You'll have to wait for a while until we fix the issue with an update"
I guess in every example there's always something that can tie it into this one. I guess I know that they have issues that need sorted out and they eventually will (probably rather quickly because of how wide spread) so I'm not upset.
TO ADD TO THIS - not only did I pay for the game a month ago in a preorder but this is just another few days. How many people arguing they paid for a game they can't play for 8 hours when they already haven't been able to play for a paid game for months?

Happened with Diablo, apparently the answer is wait a week or so after launch for them to figure out all the bugs.
ok so i posted on this forum yesterday when i couldnt play and after looking at all the other posts...WHY hasn't anyone from EA or Origin responded??? There have been no anwers regarding this issue????

still the same problem. I dont understand how logically they can release a game that can not be played. Why not wait another week to fix this stupid bug and release the game on march 12. Is it like school where they have a rubric for how they can pass the game?? 70% is passing so once they complete 70 percent they feel like its done.
The entire reason games cost $60 to begin with is because of game pirates, so if DRM protects them from pirating then why have the price of games not dropped? EA is the beginning of the end for giant game publishers. I dont play simcity to play online. Thats why they made HALO.
Same here -.- This is dumb. EA is not ready for cload yet and they should just release a single player option! 80 dollars down the drain and you lost a customer EA. I have been playin Sim city and sim games since the early 2000's and this game by far has the most issues. Bye,bye EA, I am going to go play some CS GO!

Dafuq is with all these people saying a waste of $80, or $80 down the drain... your only proving how prone you are to over-exagerating, You'll still have the content and all the deluxe additions when the teething issues are resolved. EVERY Online game has teething issues, just be patient for a change, cause honestly it hasn't even been 24 hours.
- Anonymous12 years agoYou all need to calm the hell down, this game that's online JUST came out, they obvs have to work on a few things, holy crap calm down and get over the fact you can't play a new released online game after 1 day
EA should have used BETA to test their servers instead of using it as a game demo. Now I'm angry that I paid for a game that does not work.

This is a **bleep**ing joke. Some people pay $80 for a **bleep**ing video game and you can't even play it because of the company's incompetence.

When my company releases software and it doesn't work people on my team get fired for **bleep**ing up. That's what user testing is for and that's why when you require online activity you take the time to make sure the servers can handle it. It's not too much to ask for a little competence from a company charging this much for a video game.
