Climbing is probably not as cool as a feature you thought it would be. Trying to get to these spots and falling and having to do it over and over is very annoying. Not a fan of climbing all the way to the top of a skyscraper. Waste of time.
Thankfully there are quick travel points at the top of most of these.
you can hold the climb button if you weren't aware. should make it easier for you. I haven't fallen once, but I know everyone's different.
As jarjarsaves said, once you do more missions and unlock more points, you won't need to climb for pretty much anything anymore. Just have to be patient till you get them all unlocked, and you're golden from there.
