Crashing right after spectating

The game tells me to spectate 3 players in the weekly tasks. I spectate 1 player and the game crashes harder than the GD Hindenburg! (I'm a steam user if that helps)

Can't end challenges.
I got on today and realized i can't pause the game during a challenge to end it. This only leaves me with 2 options: Keep trying to tick all boxes or, Alt + F4 and relaunch if I choose.
