Flip trick to one foot transitions (tre flips with stank leg)

I think it would be cool if when you do a one-foot after flip trick, the foot you're taking off of the board wouldn't catch the board first. The board would be caught by the foot not leaving the board and the other foot would stay off until letting go of the one foot command. For example, catching a 360 flip with the front foot and letting the back leg dangle. Or kickflips caught with the back foot and ninja kicking that front foot out.   Right now it can be done but the foot you're taking off briefly touches the board first. Not sure how difficult changing that animation is just for style. Would be cool tho. Cheers.

  • Skate minds think alike! Yea, I'm thinking it would probably be the same amount of work as the whole underflip work. It wouldn't have to be for all flip tricks I don't think. Just tre's and kick/heel-flips really. Maybe pop shoves and varial flips... Probably all new animations buttt maybe it's as easy as having the one-foot animation override the last few frames of those few flip tricks and not have to do any new animations. Like you said tho, I'm not a dev. I do think if it was ever implemented, it would be used alot and would definitely add a bunch more style and realism to our clips.

  • I've had this same idea since the game "launched". The way I see it working is holding the same buttons responsible for front foot/back foot ollies during a tricks animation. However, I do see an issue as they would have to rework most of the flip trick animations to look right. And because I'm not in game dev or an animator, I wouldn't know how much work it would or wouldn't be, but I'm betting its more than we think, unfortunately.
