"Through skate.’s Seasons, we’ll bring new content to the game, as well as legacy features and ideas. One thing to note: we’re not looking to remake Skate (2007), Skate 2, or Skate 3, so our focus is on the future, while bringing along the history of the franchise and things we all loved that got us to this point."
Pretty clear that this game isn't for existing fans... And "bringing along the history of the franchise" is a fancy way of saying that they're just pulling a bait and switch using the Skate brand to get people in the door...
It's never going to come close to the sequel we've been waiting 15 years for... And they don't seem to care how disappointed everyone is...
It's a whole new game, for a new younger audience... Screw the existing fanbase...
their focus is riding off the coat tails of something that was massive for the skate boarding scene and make money off of the community that loved it.
the Devs dont give a **bleep** about the original series. they are just excited to make money off of us by selling clothes and gear we could just earn in all the other games.
this game is 100% focused on just being a market for pixels for children.

exactly what i said; they are just going to ignore all of the problems people are pointing out and just pat themselves on the back for what they think is going good (like them getting a big player base starting regardless of 90% of the player base being pissed or making money off of free items from previous games that were free)theyve successfully brought over 2 voice actors from the last series. mmmm such feel much history.
i only believe whats been proven and what they have proven is that they dont care about getting the IP.
they didnt understand that there was a giant community waiting patiently to relive the moments they had as a kid being revamped or rethought of with new pros and a new scene. theyve proven they know nothing about skateboarding other than whats commercially viable (thrasher,vans,dime) insteadd of having DGK,zero,etc helping give some companies that are still around some love instead of just supplying boards made by video game creators not attatched to skateboarding at all.
my first board i got on my own was aa think board. it was the first board on my character in skate 3 and that feeling was unmatched. no kid is gunna have that feeling with this game.
when i stream i straight up have the skate 3 soundtrack in the background because it resonated with me so much. How am i supposed to feel attached or excited about getting generic universal music???
what we have been provided is a game thats missing 30% of the original tricks and missing 100% of the feeling that made the game feel like home.

im 27 and i think this game is beyond mids. terrible actually.
if you think wanting the original amount of tricks or a feeling in a game series youve played your entire life is nostalgia based and not a giant misstep on the company developing it.
then you my friend are the issue because you are WILLING to be drip fed original content like its new.
i genuinely wish i could be as brain dead as the current community so i could enjoy this soulless game
