Game is failing to launch (I've seen other posts but cannot locate now?)

if I launch the game from the shortcut OR ea app I will get an "EA Anticheat" splash screen for about 20 seconds, followed by skate opening in a smaller black rectangle and then it forces to the ea app.
found several "fixes" but none worked
