Issues with grinding

Ok look, i genuinely have been enjoying the game. I’ve played it with friends and on my own and it’s a pretty chill experience. But the one issue I always seem to have is grinding. I can have the cleanest lead up, but the second I land on the ledge or rail my character freaks out and bails. Not only that, but when I even attempt to jump into a grind it just never locks on and I just fall. The other thing I kinda wish this game had was the ability to tighten/loosen your trucks. I feel like when I move it’s super stiff and sometimes super sensitive. Idk, maybe it a me problem but I feel like I looked everywhere and try different things and still haven’t come up with a solution!
