Map freeze and drifting

During one of the beginning missions where she tells you to open the map for timed objectives, I open my map and go to move the waypoint/curser and it immediately freezes up, the screen darkens and I can no longer move. The only controller button that works is the PlayStation button. the map works if I use it before her tutorial audio starts. I’ve stopped and waited for 2 weeks and it still hasn’t fixed. I’ve tried leaving and coming back to the game, restarting console and it still isn’t working. Also I’m on PS5
