The game keeps crashing

I am encountering a repeatable freeze followed by crash-to-desktop a few moments into the initial tutorial. I am able to move around the initial area (where basic movement is explained), but after climbing the tower to "collect my board", the game freezes during the dialogue where Vee explains what a skateboard is. If I hold Y to skip the dialogue, shortly after appearing in front of the large ramp, the same freeze and crash-to-desktop occurs.

An error message appears, but automatically closes itself before I am able to see the error message. I believe it reads something along the lines of "failed to allocate," and maybe "this may be a low memory situation"?

I tried climbing over some of the barriers that didn't lead directly to the crashing cutscene. I was teleported back to the starting area each time, without crashing. I spent a few minutes idling on the initial platform as well. It doesn't appear that the crash is cause by time spent in game, and only occurs when the new board cutscene plays (or immediately after, if skipping the cutscene).

My machine specs are:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D 6-Core @ 4.10 GHz
RAM: 32.0 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8GB

I have tried a handful of things to search for a fix, but did not find a solution:

• Restarting my computer
• Verifying the integrity of the installation with steam
• Uninstalling and reinstalling the Javelin anticheat
• Running the game in windowed rather than fullscreen

It's not just a PC issue. I had the exact same problem on PS5

New player, same scenario. Finish character creation, scale the wall. Crashes during the board intro. If I Skip All, I can see the mega ramp, hangs briefly, then crashes. Windows flashed a "Critical Low Memory Error: Failed to allocate memory. Your PC might be in a low memory situation. Please restart your PC and try again." error. (I'm using Windows 10). Restarted and ran nothing else but Steam and Skate and the same thing happened.

I’m having the exact same issue, I even installed the game on my ps5 and the same issue persists

This isn't a computer related issue. My friend is having the same problem. So he came over my house and logged in on my computer and it still happened. I can play on my account just fine. You know what's never bugged? The store. The greed and stupidity of the skate team is something else. I have never seen a launch this horrible and then ask for $5 for an unbranded backwards hat. 

Seems to be happening to a few people. This game seems like a huge money grab

After hours and hours of spending my time in forums, it seems like theres a few main crashes that are occuring seperately in different ways but may all be related to a memory leak, this is semi anecdotal, i have not experienced a single one of these crashes, but i have done my own personal testing and questioned a lot of people. memory leak is the most likely cause. it seems to be occuring during initial load, after a few minutes or even degraded performance over half an hour, tutorial island seems to have a few seperate instant crashes that may also be due to a memory leak.

When I switched to Xbox, it still crashes when I pick up the skateboard. So its not even just a pc issue, its the greedy EA caring more about in game currency rather than fixing their bugs that literally wont allow new players to play. Here's to hoping it doesn't take them more than a month to fix this LMAO
