Address Toxicity Issues

Call me a dreamer for wanting a world where nobody is a d*ck on the Internet, but I do hope that something is done post-content-drops for Battlefront 2 that will address players who start breaking rules.

As it stands, EA seems to have a proven track record of not doing anything about dealing with bad players; at least, I have not seen anything. I have reported a number of terrible people that play this game - cheaters and people that swear with the proficiency of a 40-year-old sailor; and yet, EA simply states that they will "deal with the problem" and, in my experience, forget the issue entirely. I have encountered people who I reported months ago, and even provided video evidence of their offenses, only to find them still prancing around our fantasy world of Star Wars dishing out insults and taking advantage of external software.

Electronic Arts, I'm sorry to be up front and honest with you, but Battlefront 2 is still plagued with hateful cretins who have nothing better to do than make other peoples' lives miserable, as well as the occasional cheater who gets away with damage modifications, infinite range, and the removal of ability cooldowns. Just today, I had to deal with a Hero Showdown player who was not only playing on the already overpowered Dark Side, but (as Grievous) would use Thrust Surge literally from the opposite side of the map, and land a successful hit, following up with subsequent spamming of the Thrust Surge ability without cooldown.

I should note that, on this forum, I have not been the most upstanding person when it comes to what I type here - I have posted a number of comments bashing EA specifically for their apparent lack of action in the face of response times, addressing problems in the community, and overall just giving this impression that they've abandoned the people who rely on them for help. Not long ago, I was confronted by one EA_Atic (a representative of EA, in case you didn't realize) on a matter of a post I created insulting EA. It is in the message he sent me that he belittled me, accusing me of "throwing my toys around for not getting my way." I realized the error in my ways and apologized for my actions - and even took a step further by going through all my posts and removing anything that seemed toxic - but I strongly believe that just because a member or customer insults EA does not give EA or its representatives the license to return fire, rather a representative should respond in a professional manner, or not at all. For all the talk about addressing toxicity and eliminating it, EA has certainly proven through their representatives that they are no better then the terrible people they claim to be fighting against.

I ask any representative of EA reading this to please post your thoughts on this matter, and shed light on my question, that being: will EA continue to address problems in the community of Battlefront 2, whether it be cheater or hate-speaker?

One request I have is that, as a whole, Electronic Arts be more revealing of the actions taken on reported people. I have thought to report people, even the Thrust-Surge-spamming player I mentioned above (Gamertag removed), but have been immediately discouraged because of my experiences with EA's inaction.

What say you, Electronic Arts?

Edit: Removed gamertag. It is against the AHQ rules to name and shame - CM
