I'm having the same issue. No solution unfortunately, but I wanted to add that the problem definitely isn't an incorrect password. I tried intentionally entering the incorrect password, to see what would happen, and it just brought up the login screen again. The error message only shows up when I enter the correct password.
I really hope this can get resolved for the both of us soon.
