770 is a Code for "no Connection".
Maybe your Provider has some prob´s atm.
- Anonymous8 years agoHi did you get this fixed as I have same issue on ps4, if so how do you fix it please
- Anonymous8 years agoIdk if this is what fixed mine and I’m on XBOX, I don’t anthing about routers but I did some research so I read about the ps4 sometimes UPnP cause connection issues so I got into my router found the UPnP settings and saw that since the January patch my Xbox was listed twice so I deleted that then went my memory on my Xbox and erased the save data, for swbf2 rebooted my router and a full shut down/ hard reset on my Xbox waited for the saved data to download from the cloud and once the router came back I was able to connect,
I got this from a ps4 forum and tried it after no help from EA who said it was my connection even though every other game I have was fine.
My best advice is just keep looking when I put in EA error codes I started to get some where.
Just keep at it EA won’t help but I hope this does - Anonymous8 years agoAfter two weeks I figured it out I just either change the WiFi u use to get online or reset the router

This is a copy of a post I made in an 'error 201 thread.'
I finally got my constant errors with Error Codes 201 and 672 (which seems to be similar to 770 errors) by adjusting my firewall. I saw this solution buried in another thread and gave it a shot. After a week of constant drops and the inability to play for more than 10 minutes at a time, I just completed a 90 minute session with zero problems.
Bottom line, ensure your firewall is not disrupting the connection. My virus protection does not have a firewall (free version of Avast), but if yours does start there. However, most of you (at least on PC) will probably have Windows Defender's firewall up. Here are the steps I took:
For Windows 10 at least...
1. Open the start menu and begin typing 'firewall.' The option that should come up will be 'Allow and app through Windows Firewall.'
2. Click on 'Change Settings'
3. Ensure that STAR WARS Battlefront II is on the approved list and that it's selected for both public and private.
4. Ensure Origin is also on the approved list and selected for both public and private.
5. If the items don't show up, you'll have to select 'Allow another app...' and then find the files for either/both SWBFII or/and Origin.
On my system, Origin wasn't an excepted program. Once I set it and put both Origin and SWBFII on the list for both public and private, everything cleared up instantly.
Unfortunately, I can only vouch for this solution on a PC. Hopefully others might be able to explore if this is the same issue with XBOX and PS4 and, if so, recommend how to adjust your router firewall.
I really hope this helps my fellow PC players and that it provides a potential course of attack for XBOX and PS4 brothers.
- I have had error 770 for 2 weeks on battlefront 1 and battlefront 2, psn works fine.
Either ea servers are completely useless or ea has blocked wi fi internet access. - Anonymous8 years ago
I had a similar experience in which EA advised getting a different console. So I purchased a brand new XBOX ONE X. That was a stupid idea. For twenty one consecutive days, I experienced an error but only with Star Wars Battlefront II. Please try again For some reason STAR WARS Battlefront II took too long to start. (0x8027025a)
I posted to the forum on 02/09/2018 New XBOX ONE X 21 days error only with STAR WARS Battlefront II (0x8027025a)
After three days passed, no one helped, commented or assisted. Then I get the advise to use lens cleaner.
So I contacted EA Help and has even more insulted Here is what he suggested..directly in sequence ----------------------------------
Have you check your internet connection, if your xbox is facing any connections issue
Have you tried restarting your xbox?
Is your xbox up to date?
I am going to provide you a solution steps. Please go through it. It will surely work for you.
Solution 1: Check the Xbox Live service status
Solution 2: Start the app again
Solution 3: Restart your console
I informed EA Help "Are you kidding? This is not appropriate or helpful."
His reply "I have provided you these as it has worked for me and for other players in the past. I was facing the same issue and tried these steps and my issue got fixed."
I said "Seriously that would mean Xbox Core Services have been down since Wednesday 02-07-2018 with your logic. I request a senior technician that is capable."
So he sent a list of troubleshooting steps by email. I requested a senior technician, I demanded his boss, and I get a email with ugh...
So I informed this individual "who" would love to fix this for me, What I have not done is examine the machine code of the central processor unit of Xbox One X. What I have not done is examine EA developer code pertaining to acknowledgement and handshake protocols for TCP/IP with EA server in Ohio.
And so I received no such "real" assistance from EA Help or anyone else.
And so I eventually solved it myself by returning the console to Microsoft directly along with 50 pages of documentation - I have had error 770 for 2 weeks on battlefront 1 and battlefront 2, psn works fine.
Either ea servers are completely useless or ea has blocked wi fi internet access. - Anonymous8 years agoIs your ps4 connected wirelessly or Ethernet cable? as i was using wierless but as soon as I connected through Ethernet cable I have not had the issue since, so I would try that first.
- Hi Matty2471983
You are confirming what I suppected,
EA HAS BLOCKED WI FI ACCESS TO THEIR GAMES
So its ethernet cable or no connection with wireless 4G.
