Game crashes constantly

Product: Star Wars Battlefront II
Platform:PC
I want to talk about something you don't mention above:
How accessible is the current experience? It's useless to me
Summarize what in the product is difficult to use. The game will either crash during startup or when trying to play a game.
How is this making it more difficult? The game is literally unplayable in this state.
How can we reproduce this experience? Any time I start the game or try to play it will crash.

I've tried everything I've seen online. Windows 10 is fully up to date, my AMD drivers are completely updated to the latest recommended version, and the game is up to date. I tried: repairing and uninstalling the game, reinstalling AMD drivers, deleting Origin cache and windows temp files, deleting BF2 settings and trying different settings (max/lowest graphics settings, windowed, DX11/12, different FPS limits).

None have worked and the problem is as bad as it was when it started today. Prior to today, the crashing was only mild but now today it is completely unavoidable for more than 2 minutes.

I've been watching these forums for the last 11 days now because I have the same problem as you. There have been many many posts just like yours and many players experiencing the same issues yet the moderators of these forums just keep posting the same troubleshooting advice. The problem is not on the players end, there is an issue with the game and EA has yet to even acknowledge it. Probably because these forums are moderated by players who want forum EXP and keep posting the same info over and over again. I've been hoping a real employee would at least acknowledge the existence of this issue so my fellow PC brethren can stop wasting their time trying to fix this game on their end when nothing you can possibly do will help. But they haven't, they just continue to let it go. I suppose its entirely possible that they made one last cash grab with the latest edition and have now handed the forums over to the users and could care less what happens with the game or the players. At least that's what this all feels like at this point. I guess my point of all this is, don't waste the next few days trying to repair a game that is broken on the developers end. Hope it gets sorted soon.

  • Just recently when Star Wars Battlefront 2 came to Steam. I bought the Celebration Edition and I keep getting this same crash over and over as the topic says. Keeps saying it's an "Access Violation" with the code "c0000005 (first/second chance not available)"

I've looked around and couldn't find a way to fix this except uninstalling/reinstalling since I doubt it'll fix this, I've also allowed both Origin (if that could help) AND the StarWarsBattlefront2.exe file to run as admin, and it didn't seem to work at all.

As the file shows the full error from the crash logs.
