Basically, the game just messes up the credits on the end-of-round screen, but the proper amount is added to you (as visible through the menus).
Example:
Before I joined, I wrote down the credit count in the main menu: 223249 credits
I played extraction on Kessel, Empire, lost in the third phase. The end of round showed me 165 credits (wtf so low?)
I quite the match and look at the home screen: 223559 credits
So 223559-223249 = 310 credits
310 is about the average for losing in extraction before todays patch, so they haven't nerfed the credits
It is, therefore, a visual glitch. It is extremely annoying though.
The fact that this kind of garbage gets approved only proves once again that EA/DICE has no QA dept.
They explained what is going on with this in the patch notes, at the very end under "known issues."
