Can I also just say how hard EA dropped the ball ending support for this game? Look at all this awesome content from Clone Wars Season 7 and Mandalorian. They could have propelled this game into such wide appeal that it would be what they envisioned. Imagine:
- new Location Mandalore for OT and PT content with Mandalorian commando reinforcements for both eras (Shadow Collective/Imperial Supercommando and Night Owls Commandos)
- Heroes Ahsoka Tano, Din Djarin, Bo Katan
- Ahsoka and Bo Katan would be for both PT and OT, with Ahsoka having her white lightsabers and being older in OT.
- Villains Asajj Ventress, Moff Gideon, Gar Saxon (both OT and PT).
- New location Navarro for OT
- Bad Batch skins for Clone Wars
- And what if they figured out how to put the Child in? lol!!
That's just what we know about now. What else are they going to add in Season 2 as well as the Bad Batch and Obi-Wan shows coming up? Disney+ is turning out to be a gold mine of content for a "live service" game. Doesn't seem like EA had the vision to see it.
- 6 years ago@ArchAngeL-PCX What makes me cringe is that EA executed order 66 on BF2 support/content when it was finally doing well (BF5 too) just so they could get everyone to work on Battlefield 6... Battlefield... another Battlefield game that'll be rushed out because it's their precious child. BF2 should have had the rest of the year for content and support, and with Mando s2 they totally could've added Ahsoka along with other light Mando content. Such a shame. vIsIoN cOmPlEtE
- 6 years ago@UNL1M1T3D_P0W3R Exactly. It was all about Battlefield which I'm not sure they understand how to fix. And Battlefront 2 was definitely hitting it's stride. With Disney+ pushing out all this good content? Who knows how big the game could have gotten. I really have nothing good to say about it lol
I'm at the point where I hope Disney gives the license to Sony with the understanding that the games need to be multiplatform. Maybe have early access to content for PS4 and PS5 owners like they get with COD. Look what Sony did with Spider-man and imagine what they could do with Star Wars with their stable of studio talent.- 6 years ago@ArchAngeL-PCX I've seen all of the Clone Wars, just can't be bothered watching Rebels.
What would be cool is if several years from now there's an open-world Star Wars game (use Mando as an example source) where you can do a whole bunch of quests by visiting different planets, choose a side like bounty hunter, smuggler, new republic, empire (what remains of them), team up / battle with others online, trade, etc (look at what Cyberpunk is doing and going to bring over the next couple of years). It'd be something that could just keep growning. With new gen consoles it could be doable.
