New Game mode needed with depth

Need a new game mode

Look at some of the greatest multiplayer games in the past 5 years.

Gears of war 3 horde mode , fight with a group of 6 and process through the horde

Mass effect 3 a 4 player co op a wave of ten with different objectives

Battlefront 2015 you already did something like this with wave modes 1 player and 2 player options.

Now you have an opportunity revisit this and make it better, a 4 or 5 player co-op against a faction for how many waves you may want. You can still keep the point system in play, (does a player risk all points to become a hero or does he wait until a later wave)

i bring this up is because you need another mode that is different, for the players and at the same time has depth and is not gimmicky like heros vs villains. It also needs to feel as dynamic as galactic assault. Also a refreshing break from player vs player.

  • The idea of a horde mode is so simple - yet it's well liked, I'm a fan of it myself, getting a well-developed one to BF2 would be more than welcome. I liked the coop survival in the first game (also, wth, Dice, no online coop in Arcade?!), it would just need some objective-based features.

Though the AI would need serious update on that one, the arcade mode's AI would just not cut it. They are basically just drones drawn to you (you can clearly see that they know exactly where you are), and even though they can kill you if they come in great numbers, you just can't stop feeling their total lack of intelligence.

  • Galactic Assault really places the players in a Star Wars battle, and I like how the battles represent certain parts of the films. But, since it is a linear gamemode, it gets stale sometimes. Playing there, pushing here, defending that, no change. GA is awesome, but should not be the ‘only main ground combat gamemode’ of the game. Personally, I would love to see a large open gamemode in which the players are free to go where they want, so the replay ability is higher. At least this would do the trick for me. The same maps can even be used.

A new, large scale ground gamemode would be a very good addition to the game. Conquest could do this. The situation I have created in my head is that you play GA for the more Star Wars feeling, playing iconic battles, while playing conquest gives open, free to go gameplay. Some things to consider in such a conquest gamemode type are listed below.

    • FREEDOM, to increase replayability, the mode should give players the opportunity to go where they want. If I would like to capture command post 6 at the far end of the map, I should be allowed. Remove the out-of-bound parts and use the full map. For example, the Death Star last phase empire spawn is placed in another big hangar, which could be used as a command post. With the new mode, don’t push players into taking that or this, but let them figure it out themselves.
    • SPAWN POINTS, if a conquest-like gamemode is added, then the players should be able to chose where they want to spawn. In GA you are forced to some side. Although this annoys me every day, I do understand that for GA this is a bit necessary since the mode is made that way. In the new gamemode however, I would love to choose my own spawn points. Yes, this would require tweaking the squad system.
    • VEHICLES, can be spawned on a captured command post. If one team loses that command posts, then these vehicles cannot be spawned in. Simple as that.
    • PLAYERS, Of course, I don’t know how it will go and cannot play test conquest or something, but it might be the case that more players are needed on a map if most of the map is used at the same time.

Yes I would like a new mode as well and one that is permanent not limited time, H vs V Starfighter would be good.
