BattleFront 2

Hello

I’m reporting a recurring server-side issue I experienced in Star Wars Battlefront II.          This happened on Mos Eisley Tatooine

During a single multiplayer session, one specific server experienced severe lag spikes affecting multiple players simultaneously. This occurred three separate times within the same server. Each incident included:

Sudden, extreme lag affecting the entire lobby

Voice chat freezing for Xbox (audio looping / “BRRRR” sound reported by other players)

Multiple players being disconnected at the same time

Full server instability resulting in lobby shutdown

Issue was isolated to this specific server; other servers functioned normally afterward

Both myself and my friend were affected simultaneously, and other players in the lobby appeared to experience the same issue. I am using a wired Ethernet connection, and my local internet connection remained stable outside of this server.

Based on the behavior (repeated lobby-wide packet loss and disconnects isolated to one server), this appears to be a server-side failure or instability rather than a client-side connection issue.

I wanted to report this in case the server requires investigation or removal from rotation, as it significantly impacted gameplay for all players involved.

Thank you for your time,

  • While it may not have been a specific server having the issue, I believe you experienced a particular instance of the back-end services tripping up. This occasionally occurs with cloud-based services. It's almost always temporary - i.e. minutes to hours.

If it's wide-spread (i.e. multiple instances) and/or extends for long periods of time, I imagine EA would get on it. Otherwise, it will likely self-heal within hours, if not minutes.
