Permanent bug: Roll-dodging backwards when standing still and slow movement

Hello,

I started having this issue today with Characters across all modes in BF2. 

Firstly my movement speed is slowed and secondly when i press the Alt key to dodge while standing still - the character always dodges backwards. 

So far i have I have tried. 

-Disabling Razer Synapse and using default keyboard profiles

-Testing my keyboard in other games and in Notepad etc

-Switching around the dodge key in game (from Alt to .,] etc.)

-Switching around the movement keys in game (arrow keys instead of WASD)

-Reassigned the alt key to another key on the keyboard

-Reset all Keybindings to default in-game

-Disabling Origin Overlay in-game

-Unplug and Replug 

-Reboot 

Nothing seems to work and problem persists in BF2 only as far as i can tell. Please assist.

    The problem persists even today and only in BF2. 

    Just to be clear this is NOT one of the usual BF2 movement bugs that happen during combat that are cleared upon stagger or re-spawn. 

    This problem is permanent. It happens across all modes both Single Player and Multiplayer.

    Re-installed the game and still having the same bug.

    I will try to dig out an old keyboard tomorrow to test the game with - just in case BF2 hates my keyboard. Otherwise i have no idea what to do about it except not play the game.
