Re: Amazon instant access?

I chatted with EA Support tonight and got the following from the rep: "I have checked this with our specialist team and got to know that there is no issue from our end.  We dont have support with Amazon linking to EA. You will have to to contact Amazon or you can try a different browser and see if it works."

Sorry for the multiple replies; I hope I don't trigger a spam filter.

I also chatted with Amazon tonight. The rep is actually going to escalate this issue to Engineering so I am hopeful if they follow through that this may be solved quickly.

As soon as I have an email update on the issue I'll add it here.

Sure. They gave me a ticket number. I've checked on it once this week and it's still being worked on.

So @imisterfragger , @Rebel12340 , and @yetimaster1138  , as well as anyone subscribed to this thread -- I still haven't received information from Amazon on a fix for this. I've asked them twice for updates in the past week and I've gotten replies that basically tell me to be patient and they're working on it, but no ETA or specifics about what is causing the issue, or what it will take to fix it.

However, they added a different purchase option that worked for me for The Sims 4, and I see the same option for Star Wars Battlefront 2 as well.

Instead of choosing the product that has the game name followed by [Instant Access], which requires you to link to your Origin account, you can instead choose the product that has the game name followed by [Online Game Code]. The second option doesn't require you to link your Origin account, and instead Amazon will place a download code in your Amazon account that you can copy/paste into Origin, and the game will be downloaded to your Origin account. Just be sure to select the correct platform (mine is PC).

I am not sure if this forum permits outside links, so to prevent this message being put into a spam filter I'm going to end here, and then post another message below with links to both the Star Wars and Sims 4 products on Amazon that have the [Online Game Code] option. If it doesn't get posted, feel free to PM me and I can send you a link to the Amazon products I see.

I will still provide an update here on the support ticket when they actually provide one, but hopefully this option will get you playing sooner.

Per the previous message, here are the products affected by this issue where I see [Online Game Code] as a purchase option, which worked for me without having to link my Origin account:

    Star Wars Battlefront II: https://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Battlefront-Online-Game/dp/B071H7Z1DT/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=star+wars+battlefront+2+online+game+code&qid=1554808359&s=gateway&sr=8-1

    The Sims 4: https://www.amazon.com/Sims-Online-Game-Code/dp/B00ENQXEX2/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=sims%2B4%2Bonline%2Bgame%2Bcode&qid=1554808488&s=videogames&sr=1-4&th=1

    Hope this helps!

I clicked the link and nothing is happening I don't know if it's because I have a Mac or what. Although I've been pressing Online Game Code it still requires me to join with my Origin account.

@spicymeow21 just keep in mind the game wont work on Mac as an FYI.

When you try to log in with the EA account what happens?
