Re: AMD Radeon driver version 0.0.0.

"Detected AMD Radeon driver version 0.0.0.  The required driver version is 17.7.1 (17.10.3211) or later..." appears every time I launch the game.  I have been working on trying to get it start all day, I've reinstalled all of my drivers various times, tried to force the 17.7.1 driver update (which didn't work, it always comes up as 15.something for me), messed with the registry and tried to trick it, repaired the game in the Origin launcher, etc..  I just want to be a wookiee!!!  Can anyone help me, I'm desperate.  Is it that my system simply does not meet the requirements?  I've got an AMD APU (A8-6600k) and 8 gigs of RAM and I can run pretty much everything I've tried to play (including graphically intense games like Warframe.)

I was wondering if anyone has managed to sort this out. As installed a Radeon r9 270x and up with the same error. I was trying to BF1.  However this card works with my gtx 750 ti who does that work and the other does not?

Do you have your display connected to your motherboard or directly to the GPU/video card?

My monitor is connected to the external video card

I disabled internal video card by BIOS and the problem evaporated. Maybe the game was reading the faulty internal videocard as 0.0.0 and prevented the game to start.

So to solve, disable internal videocard always.

I had suspected that but we really do not want to advise players to make any BIOS alterations as it is too easy to mess things up badly.

    Thanks for posting.

Another solution which worked for me is

    Go to your devmgmt.msc
uninstall and disable AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics
Leave your RX 5xx whatever (your actual GPU) be

    Enjoy

@PsyCrypt6 Hi, I've done this in the past but I straight up uninstalled it without disabling first, however each time I turn on my pc again it starts itself again. Any chance you know any fix for this? thanks

I'm closing this thread to stop it from being necroed.

If you have any issues with SWBF2, please make a new topic about your problems and what kind of steps you have tried to solve them.
