Re: Error Code 918

Hey @Suppositori,

I do not play Star Wars Battlefront but do own a Xbox.

Most of the times when you get an errorcode you can check Microsoft for solutions.

Find your error code | Xbox Support

In this case I found a workaround for the code 918 somewhere else:

To fix the Star Wars Battlefront 2 error you could try to:

Close the game down fully.
Reboot the game.
Try to sign in again.
Repeat the process until you log into the game successfully.

Or You could check EA Twitter for extra information: (EA Star Wars (@EAStarWars) / X (twitter.com)

    I don't own an xbox either. I'm trying to play on PC using either EA app or Steam. Both give me 918 errors no matter how many times I re-install, restart, or do the EA app recovery. What's strange is my in-game name doesn't match my EA account name. The EA support has been awful and doesn't have any answers either.

    @Suppositori Your statement about an XBOX Live account suggested you might be on XBOX.

    What account name shows up when you open the EA app on your PC? Account name will be in the upper right.

    On the EA app I see Suppositori

    But in game I see the screenshot.

    Got it.

    Unfortunately, because you are having and account issue, you will need to contact EA support directly. Since it sounds like you may have already gone that route, you may need to re-contact and speak with someone else.

    It appears you purchased from Steam, so you could try contacting them instead.

    Unfortunately the contacting EA support directly does not work. I've tried many times. I can only email them and get no actual help.

    This means that you'll need to sign out of the other (Steam) account or sign out of the Xbox gamertag that you appear to have. That may solve your problem. I would also advise not opening so many case requests and waiting for a support agent to be able to look at your situation. Next time, opening a chat might do the trick.

    I've signed out of everything, (Xbox app, Epic app, EA app, Steam app and rebooted. Signed out then uninstalled. Verified all accounts use the same email. Still have same issue. Would be nice if I could reach some sort of support to help troubleshoot but looks like EA doesn't wish to facilitate that with their current support system.

    The system automatically opens a new ticket when I respond to the email from support. It's not something I'm doing on purpose, just a poorly built system.

    The text "Double account causing issue 918" is text written by me and is the title of the support ticket. "No Fix" is just some random disposition used by support, they also marked the one under that ticket with "Fixed" when it hadn't been.

    I appreciate your help and any suggestions @DarthFDG @Trismagistos .

    Correct. I do not see a chat option when I sign-in. I see the option but when I sign-in the option for chat disappears.

    Perhaps, you need to try chat during normal business hours for your region.

    Close the game down fully.

    Here I am two years later, still no luck. Any other ideas?
