3 quick questions. Have you tried running other games ?

Have you ever stress tested your system before? GPU included.

Have you tried reverting your drivers back several version. 5 or more.

Also can you post what the windows error reporting event actually says? Perhaps the desktop window manager aswell. 

I think the last part of that is your SYSTEM tab in event viewer.

If you can post all the information about these too that'd be great. The 4101 is probably your device driver being restarted, which means the driver itself is crashing or possibly just not responding.

In any event, the crashes themselves are a result of the graphics subsystem. The windows error reporting is what's reporting the actual crash itself.

The next step is to figure out what is faulting and why.

The graphics driver may be at fault here. But you'd have to perform a system stress test to rule out hardware failures.

What you can possible do, if you have to time, is to figure out if the windows error reporting is producing a system memory dump, and then try to upload that from its location. I dont remember where it is, but if i find its location, ill let you know. But stress testing, and driver reversion is a good next step if you haven't tried it all ready.

@SteveZee Just played Rise of The Tomb Raider and it ran smoothly, no crashes/errors. I think some programms or settings, like DirectX, do not provide enough stability to run Star Wars Battlefront II.

This is the description underneath the warning 4101 (in Dutch):
Beeldschermstuurprogramma nvlddmkm reageert niet meer en is hersteld.

The Second description is: "Display driver nvlddmkm no longer responds and has been restored." If this error is displayed everytime the Driver is probably crashing or restarting for some reason. If the reason is DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG, then its very possible that its either the display driver, the hardware, or the application that's sending improper commands, or the GPU is (for some reason) taking too long to execute commands and the driver "crashes" and restarts.

My suggestion is:
1. Revert to an older driver (CLEAN INSTALL)
2. Try a clean boot
3. Run a system stress tester
4. Make sure your video card is seated properly.
5. Make sure youre not overclocking your card
6. Have enough page file space
7. Reinstall Direct X components

If none of that works, then it might very well be BF2 and its just a bug that needs to be caught by the devs.

These things are very hard to iron out.

Thats odd. Were you running BF2 or ROTR? Because the Windows Error reporting says ROTR was potentially going to misuse resources on your computer (radar pre leak 64...not necessarily an issue). Im looking for the BF2 windows error report. The time stamp looks the same. Its as if you had tomb raider running too.

If need be. Run BF2 again, and produce the error, then look for the BF2 WER.

Yeah its definitely your graphics driver that looks to be crashing. Its hard to say how that error report is being created, but , if the Display 4101 error is the cause (it probably is), then you're getting a hang, the device is being removed and restarted. BAsically DX11 is "crashing" and restarting.

That's either BF2, Your video card drivers, hardware, or another conflicting service or application.

Have you tried any of these?

@SteveZee My Nvidia settings were on optimal, not adaptive or prefer max performance.

@SteveZee The game still crashes on max performance.

@SteveZee I have tried the game with and without DirectX 12 disabled, but in both cases no luck. I will run a GPU and CPU stress test tomorrow, because I am very busy right now. If these stress tests do not reveal any malfunctions what are the other options of finding the cause of this problem?

It could be the application, the graphics driver, or your graphics hardware. You'd have to really stress it with another game that's as demanding as BF2 to test it properly. Each game stresses  your hardware differently. You want something that maximizes it.

Maybe try underclocking your hardware just to totally rule out hardware. Or undervolt it.

Beyond anything else you try, here is the last list of suggestions you can try if you haven't all ready:

You could also check w/ the Nvidia forums to see if anyone else is having the same issue w/ the same game with your same card. See if any of them have any ideas due to the fact that its directx that seems to be crashing and it points to your video card.

@SteveZee I have noticed that after playing custom arcade the game stutters a lot, which it normally does not. When I am going to play Hero Showdown then the game almost instantly crashes after the first match. When I start the game and do not play custom arcade then there is no stuttering and the game crashes after two or three matches instead of one.

@SteveZee I have also noticed that my voice in discord got disconnected during the crash or at least the connectivity was almost at its lowest.

Have you run a stress tester on your system at all? If not, you can't really say what the problem is. It could very well be hardware based. If its crashing on all game modes, its unlikely its BF2, but i could be wrong. You might consider running scan disk or SFC /Scannow in a command console.  See what happens.

You could check Nvidia forums and see if anyone else is getting the same problems with your graphics card.
