Re: Invalid license. Reason code = missing DLL: Error 0xC1

Thanks for the help Darko, I have two issues:

1. This link seems to be for one generic file, though in the previous directions you said two separate file installs? Will this one file cover both Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 x64 and x86 ?? and will these be updated versions of these files or the same as the original factory installed versions? I ask this because this relates to my next inquiry;

2. In a related tech support ticket a tech advised me to reinstall windows, so I formatted my cpu and now Origin will not run or at least when I did get it to run and tried downloading even battlefront I (let alone battlefront II) I received the following error messages:

Error message A) IGOProxy64.exe - Application error (***this error would pop up 5 or 6 times in a row every time I clicked ok to close it before it stopped appearing***)

The application was unable to start correctly (0x000007b) Click ok to close application

and Error Message B) Origin.exe - system error

The program cant start because api-ms-crt-runtime[1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem

Needless to say with regards to error message B I reinstalled and get the same problem.

I should also mention that for the past month or so, whenever I would start the Battlefront I icon I would have to spam push through the Error A message before origin/battlefront I would fire up. (I haven't had any issues operating Battlefront I or origin on this cpu in the past and until  now that I've formatted my cpu I can't even play let alone download battlefront I....

Please do assist.

Thanks

    @Dreadnought069The best thing to do is ensure that Windows is fully up to date an then download the Visual C++ from the link above as it contains both e64 and the 86 file.

  • Darko thanks once again for your help,

    to update I followed your steps with uninstalling visual C++64 and e86 then rebooting then reinstalling. I check to make sure they uninstalled and then install the programs back onto my cpu from the website. Upon reinstallation, I get an error message: unspecified error 0x80240017.

    Despite this I am still having the same issues with running origin. and continue to get the same error messages as mentioned in my previous post. I cant download any origin program now from my game library as it gives me a improper directory notification.

    I have completely formatted my cpu as a result of all of these issues relating to Origin and the problems are persisting if not getting worse. What in god's name is going on with EA games I am going to soon be asking for a refund as neither this thread or tech support is offering a practical solution and I'm not getting the services I paid for. As stated before I have never had an issue playing any modern graphic intensive games (GTA V, Battlefront I) however am completely unable to play any origin product on my gaming cpu.

  • I tried both of the steps listed in the link you gave me and still get the same 0x80240017 message when i try to reinstall or repair the C++ files. Nothing to do with origin is working and EA tech support has limited my contact options to just email. How can I go about escalating this matter with EA? Any other suggestions Darko?
