Re: Is coop not free anymore for star wars battlefront II?

You’ve always needed a PS+ subscription to play co op. It’s online and it uses matchmaking to find people to play with.

But you can also play co op offline, so is that maybe what you were asking?

  • i don’t have ps plus and I’m able to play coop and supremacy before. Now it’s hindering me to do so without ps plus. But to answer you’re question, maybe?

  • Help me understand: coop is all about objective based where you play with four other people against AI enemies. That’s what I meant by coop, but now it hinders me to play coop mode without ps plus. Is this even a thing now? Now that this game is free on PS plus.

Probably you used a free trial of PlayStation plus to play it before. Now that it’s run out you can’t play the best part of battlefront.

  • Perhaps. But I don’t think that’s the case because if it was free trial, then it should be 14 days. But I’ve been playing coop for 2 months. I assume you can play coop by signing up EA account, which it doesn’t make sense anymore.

  • @vvycqztnshaw The "You need PS Plus to play online" issue has been going around for a couple of months now, I just got it yesterday myself. Restarting the PlayStation 4 did not resolve the issue. I ultimately had to shut down the PlayStation 4 and unplug it for a minute, then plug it back in and start over. Haven't had any problems since then.

Alright, so I have to unplug it for a few minutes and plug it back in to work?
