"No matchmaking, what for after all, we don't care if rookies get crushed by high level players"
I got the game 3 days ago I know I'm new but I get into games and I play with teammates level from 2 to 20 while they have people with max levels 100 level 400 level it's just that it's not fair
@kingovi789 Here’s the short and then the long of it.
short:No, there’s never been any real match making and, in truth, there’s no way to really do so; with any realistic success, because of how the developers structured the game.
Long:
The reality is newer or less experienced players simply have to take the time to get used to the game. This is pretty much a standard for most games and has been since the dawn of gaming. I don’t care what sort of match making a Dev tries to do there’s always going to be drawbacks (see the Apex Legends mess)
While there is no match making, game testing that I (and others on this forum did) about a year & a half ago (there-abouts) found what we saw to be inconsistencies in how characters and classes behaved based on level.
While we found NOTHING in the patch notes nor did we get a “real” answer from the Devs it was clear that the tiered progression that was introduced to the game has more impact than what was released in the notes. This led us to conclude (as best as we could) that the Devs tried to offset the matchmaking issue and the surge of newer players after TROS update by modifying the tiered progression; to try and provide a favor for newer players.
unfortunately all this did was make the game worse. The game is so incredibly imbalanced that match making, truly, isn’t the number one issue. The game has so many imbalanced and exploitable bad mechanics that’s it’s not just that newer players have to understand how the game is supposed to be played but you have to learn all of the jenky mechanical quirks too.
As others have stated, the ranks aren’t reflective of skill with the game. They’ve had so many double & triple xp periods plus changed blaster characteristics and hero & villain traits to many times that those numbers are nearly vaporware. New players can benefit from the tiered progression as well as watch YouTube videos showing “how to” play which teaches the bad mechanical exploits (dialing up input sensitivity, character ability glitches, movements and actions that ignore damage, etc). It’s all a big mess.
