Star Wars Battlefront 2 crashes

There's something very wrong with the game and the EA App in general. I wanted to play Star Wars Battlefront 2, but after a few minutes it always crashes with the error message "Star Wars Battlefront...

    I sure hope that's an outdated error message and you don't have Origin on your PC anymore.

    Make sure EA app and the game aren't waiting on updates.

    If that doesn't fix it, post a DXDIAG report.

    Thanks for the message. I looked into it a little more and even though I didn't have Origin in my installed programs, I found some fragments of it in several folders. I deleted them all. They probably got there with The Sims 3, but this game worked normally. Anyway, everything works as it should now.
