Star Wars Battlefront II Mind-Numbingly Slow Loading

Hello, my game, Star Wars Battlefront II Celebration Edition, which I purchased on Amazon seems to be the jack of all trades when it comes to errors. My install of the game was clean on origin, it was slow when I played it at the 22% mark, but I assumed that that was due to the game still downloading. The next day when I played the game, now fully downloaded, it was abhorrently slow. It took about 5-10 minutes just to get from the trooper heads screen just to the EA symbol. The opening music also would break up after playing about 5 seconds. Once in the game, it would load slow, from the main menu all the way to the game itself. The only game that I was able to play, even though the stuttering was still so bad was the training arcade. The videos in the training also stuttered heavily as did the gameplay.

I did a little bit of research and tried many of the suggestions out there to fix the stuttering, including messing with the RAM and game settings, doing Windows updates both on the drivers and the system, turning off the anti-virus, and renaming the main game file in documents to STAR WARS Battlefront II. The only thing that helped a little was the graphics card drivers updates.

My PC is totally capable of playing this game. I have an I5-9400 processor @ 2.90GHz, 12 GB of RAM, 11.8 usable; 1 TB of HDD, Intel 330 graphics, and a 64x bit OS, on the Windows 11 OS.

As of now, I am still experiencing the stuttering and slow loading to the point where I cannot play Instant Action at all or any other game mode without it being ridiculously slow. I was wanting to know if there was anything else that I could do before I try to reinstall the game itself? If you all have any suggestions, I am all ears

Thanks for any help that you can provide,

  • @DarthFDG Found the solution. Lower the display settings to the lowest possible. This calmed the stuttering down to a level where I could actually play the game, with ultra graphics. Thx for your help. Pls pass this around to the guys and gals having this issue.

  • I can't find anything on "Intel 330 graphics" when searching Google - i.e. no idea if that meets minimum system requirements. Did you mean "Intel 630 graphics" which is embedded in the I5-9400 processor?

Two immediate actions you can take:

    1. See if this post or this post helps.

    2. Attach your DXDIAG results.

  • My bad, it is the Intel 630 graphics. I am writing from my PC, which is different from my other PC that I play the game on. Thank you for the help.

  • @AbbiDabbi707 I reinstalled the game and it is a little better, but still pretty slow. I was noticing that my GPU and RAM are hovering around 100%. Any ideas?

I provided multiple suggestions, including attaching your DXDIAG results.
