Stunlocking works against me yet i cant stun anyone as chewie or palpatine

Summarize your bug When fighting heroes / villains as either palpatine or chewie, stunning the enemies never works, they just negate the stun and continue with their action however i get stunned whilst performing actions. Palpatine, at times when stunning they are stunned for 2 seconds and just roll away then instantly kill you or at times, they just continue spam clicking so they don't get stunned Chewie, stun grenades last like 2 seconds and they just pop out of the stun and start stunlocking you even midway through charge slam.

  • Seen this. Same as getting stuck in place by repeated lightsaber blows, I can't roll, do any abilities, nothing... Just end up getting annihilated. But when I do repeated Saber strikes on most everyone, they just roll away as run off.... It's not hard to spam saver strikes... So why doesn't the game not let them roll or use abilities either? Same with stunning. Or even other abilities... I use it, seems to do nothing to the anymore like it failed for some reason and they keep coming at me.

    I'm not sure if this one is a bug, as Luke dodges right as Palpatine does the stun.

  • In your first video LOTR2013......maul hits rey with his lightsaber strike right after you hit rey with lightning stun and knocks rey out of stun....so there is no stumble that is going to happen to rey and her stance.  Please note that ALL lightsaber strikes take people out of stun lock. Lando's multishot, Han's Detonite Charge, force pushes, force pulls, and force chokes all take people out of stun lock.  

    In your second video with luke you were hit with lightning stun attack and you side strafed.  If you side strafe at the exact right time the ability will have NO effect on you, but you have a very limited window to side strafe to get the ability to miss.  If you are at the very beginning or near the very end of side strafing and rolling you can stumble from the ability, but not be fully effected by the ability. With standard characters roll it's the same thing as lightsaber heros side starfing.  Again if you are hit near the end of the side strafe with immobilizing stun abilities and attacks  the ability will not affect you fully and will only cause you to stumble just like if you block at the last second too.  If you time the block perfectly or side strafe perfectly you won't be affected at all.  

    This is what is happening with these two videos of yours.  There is no problem with the way that abilities work in these two videos.  Just your understanding of how they work.

  • As for the main issue that is with chewy and palps stun locks not working.....  I haven't fully tested palps lightning stun abilities in all circumstances, but it appeared to me to be working mostly correctly.  

    Please note everyone that side strafing and rolling at the exact right time will grant the person immunity to stun locks....but it has to be the exact right time which is kind of difficult.  I have  only done it a few times my self while in an actual game and I have played the game a lot.

    There are other issues in the game that you all might be seeing that is more associated with lightsaber blocking and stun locks. 

    In the case of Palps.  Lightsaber characters can block palps ground stun ability by light saber blocking in this new update.  Yoda for sure can and I believe that both luke and Rey can also block palps ground stun attack too. The problem with this is that the developers either unintentionally or intentionally keep changing the conditions in the game as to certain abilities getting through light saber blocks with each update.  This could be because the developers have stated that the test environment they have is acting much different than the live environment that we are playing on so there are unintended consequences for each update or they change it and someone doesn't include the change in the update notes.  Either way it's been going on with every update. Examples include:

    • Palps lightning stun has switched between getting through yoda, rey, and luke's block on most every update.  
    • Phasma droid stun has also switched to getting through block and not getting through blocks on every update as well.
    • There are a lot of issues with abilities getting through and not getting through the lightsaber block if the affected person activates lightsaber blocking at the last second.  DICE REALLY NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS PART OF THE HEROS AND VILLIANS THE MOST.

    I would warn you and everyone else in the game everytime an update comes out I always go to test special abilities of the heros against special abilities of the villians to see what can and cannot get through blocks with stun locking abilities.

    In the case of chewy's shock grenade.  Side strafing at the exact right time will prevent you from getting stun locked, but it has to be perfect.  This is hard to do but is the intention of the developers as stated in previous patch notes.  If you side strafe and are hit near the end of the side strafe you should still be hit with chewy's grenade stun.  Other abilities will just make you stumble, but chewy's grenade will cause you to get stun locked still for the remainder of the stun lock.  If you attempt to stun lock any villian character while they are in the air.  The ability will hit them and not affect them unless they touch the ground again within the time period that the ability is activated.  If they remain in the air while the ability is activated they can still move and shoot.  I don't agree with this because that's why palps and boba can be so annoying to hit if they keep jumping and flying around.  I think that chewy's grenade and lando's stun should lock palp's and boba's controls and cause them to fall back to the ground fast and be immobilized if they are within a spherical radius of the stun grenade, as long as there is no wall between them that should block the ability from hitting them.  Same with bossk, but it's not as bad as the previous two.  Chewy's stun grenade should always take darth vader and kylo out of lightsaber blocking stance and permanently stun them everytime.   The rules for side strafing still apply though to vader and kylo as previously mentioned.  I have noticed a lot of issues with chewy slam not working properly, so it wouldn't surprise me if more problems are now occuring with chewy's grenade; however, take my previous info to heart and see if it was a misunderstanding, or it is actually a bug. Chewy's stun grenade should also always stun iden even with her shield up.
