The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b) Battlefront II

Still have this issue in 2023. Have tried putting system dlls in the folder, reinstalling the game several times, verifying files, updating windows, etc to no avail. This issue started happening after Origin was replaced with EA Games and I still have not found a fix for this. Any help would be appreciated.

Launch process:

After starting the game via Epic Games Launcher, EA Games opens and then asks for administrator privileges, which I accept, and then it closes. Epic Games Launcher is still up and says that Battlefront II is launched; it does not launch. If I open with EA Games instead of Epic Games, essentially the same thing happens. When I directly launch from the exe file, the error "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)" pops up.

  • You should not have to put system dlls in the Battlefront folders. This could cause other issues down the road.

Although you say you reinstalled the game several times, there is a certain order to do this from what I've seen.

Uninstall the game and all launchers (including Origin, if it's still there). Then, install the Epic launcher, then EA app, then the game.

If you search this forum for "epic", you will see quite a few people having issues launching. One of the existing posts may help you out.

It wouldn't hurt for you to attach a DXDIAG report, in case someone spots something with your config.

@Kindesy_30 This fixed the issue for me, infinite thanks. I downloaded every x64 and x86, regardless of the year, and it worked. I had to restart my computer several times due to the requirement from x64 but regardless it fixed the issue. I started up Battlefront II again and it finally launched. Again, thank you.
  • STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ II is the Worst Game I have ever bought, trying to Run on Win 11  It says that the files msvcp120.dll and msvcr120.dl are missing and when they are installed at 64 and 32, It doesn't even start giving the error: 0xc000007b

There is NO Support at all, they are so shameless that they don't even give the Refund option
