unable to connect to ea servers to activate battlefront 2

Loved Battlefront 2 on console. Haven't played in years. Saw it was coming back to life again decided to buy it, but every time i try to load it up it says this, "we are unable to connect to ea serve...

I had this issue but also with other games like fc 25 (same meaning but different pop up - i've attached it here) and i fixed it by launching on another network. after it launched i either changed the network back or quit the game, changed networks back, and relaunched and it worked from then on. I haven't had to use the other network to play fc 25 other than the first launch.
