Would you pay for a subscription?

I'm surprised they developed this game as long as they did.  It definitely lasted longer than Battlefront 1 (RIP).

EA squeezed as much money out of this game as they could and I understand they can't keep developing it if there's no more money coming in.  The only way to keep this game going is to do a subscription.  Would any of you pay a small subscription for this game to keep adding content, new match types,  and keep patching up the hacks?  If so, how much would you pay?

I personally would only pay $5 - $10/  month for new content, match types, and security patches.

Imagine this.  What if Disney bought this game and its subscription was included?  Since Disney * money, this would be an excellent added value to Disney+.

  • Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised how long updates were released.

You idea is an interesting one. Game companies are so focused on the "big take" of initial purchases with some DLCs (closest to your idea), I don't know that anyone has tapped the idea of turning over ongoing enhancements to a small group (possibly 3rd party). Perhaps, it's similar to movies - the original producers do not want to see their art stray too far.

  • Hell no I wouldn't. I already paid them for the game itself and even it doesn't function on PC, with every single match flooded with 1hp hackers spamming racial slurs in admin chat. Why would I give them even more money, when the product is currently a defective ripoff?

"Oh but then they'd use that money to pay for people to fix it!" BS. This is a AAA game that sold over 10 million copies; they shouldn't need subscription fees to provide the absolute bare minimum of anti-cheat/anti-exploit support for a game, especially one this recent (there isn't even a newer title in the franchise, yet, for crying out loud).

I can understand they can't support it with new content forever, but completely abandoning it to hackers is unacceptable to me and no other MP game I've ever played has asked for a subscription fee for the "privilege" of not dealing with hackers. That's just absurd.

They just needed a more complete and tested game at release

Then it could of been a different story

Plus not jump and act on the nerf brigade all the time

Extraction was a big hit and they let it die with no new maps

So basically I'm not buying a half made AAA game that's not fully tested and then pay for updates.
