Almost never can find a game and only ever dogfights error 1066

I'm sure this is an issue that has been flagged up before, but when I begin matchmaking for either Fleet Battles or Dog Fights it takes multiple attempts to find a match. I wait ten minutes and it comes up with a message saying that a match could not be found (Error 1,066).

Im having the same problem and it seems worse when trying to matchmake with a friend. If I search for dogfights solo seems to find lobbies quicker than when me and my buddy try to find a game together. This is an amazing game but IM SO PISSED. I sit here for an hour to play 15 to 20 minutes of gameplay. Super frustrating. EA had simillar problems match making in Battlefront 2. Does EA just have terrible buggy lobby protocols!?

Normally it times out and shows error code 1066. My NAT is set to open, I don't have issues connecting in any other games. I'm not sure what's going on with the matchmaking but more than once I have waited over half an hour searching repeatedly for games with no luck. It is literally unplayable.
Where did this issue occur? Please include menu name or in game location. This occurs when searching for online games to join from the main menu.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I wait so long that I give up before I can even get a match in. I spend more time waiting for matches than I do playing the game. If this is not fixed in short order I will write the game off entirely. Shame, because the gameplay is awesome when you do actually get to play

Very rarely when trying to find a game with a friend will we be connected to a lobby. Just times out after 10 minutes with an error 1066 message. LOVE the game, WISH I COULD PLAY IT. Waste an hour for 10 minutes of gameplay. VERY FRUSTRATING

Title. I'll wait for over half an hour sometimes searching repeatedly and cannot find online matches to join. My NAT is set to open, I don't have any connectivity issues in other games,  including BF2. The game is literally unplayable. I will get error code 1066 after ten minutes of searching and  repeat this process until I give up. Absolutely ridiculous.

Well, have I got some (hopefully) good news for you! If you go into the game settings and turn on 'cross play', it actually finds a game. Only downside is that you kind of have to activate it - even if you'd rather not play with cross play. Until matchmaking is improved, this seems like the only solution. Could you please let me know if this worked for you? Thanks.

Yip its the cross play, on PS4 make sure that cross play is switched on. This way you and friend can play online in game. Even if you and your friend have PS4's cross play has to be on.

That surely helps but it definitely does not resolve the issue.  I have crossplay enabled and I still have to try multiple times to get into a new co-op game.
