@MithrilynnUsed to play back in the day when you had to work for a speeder bike and didn't get one when you joined... The hours I spent running round Tatooine farming animals....
I'd play the hell out of that now on a console with cross play. lol - @Kevlegs What is Star Wars Galaxies?
Yeah it was awesome! I I played with a brazilian guild called Phalanx, but i cant remember server name or anything else.
I loved the space part of that game.- Kevlegs5 years agoSeasoned Ace@MrNifler It was a PC game released in 2003. The link gives better info that I can.

- @Kevlegs Galaxies sounds awesome! Apparently there is an emulator that allows you to run the game on old servers!
- Kevlegs5 years agoSeasoned Ace@MrNifler It was fun. No boundaries, free roam everywhere. You could choose to do various missions, you could take out bounties on someone that killed you. Set the price and other players would take your bounty and collect the funds when they've killed the mark.
Travel to various planets.
I remember you could set yourself as, I can't remember the name but if you supported the Empire no one would know and attack you. If you set yourself to overt, that means everyone could see your affiliation so if you were a Rebel and went to a city with loads of AI Imps or players, they'd instantly see u r the enemy and attack. I'm surprised that Star Wars Galaxies isn't mentioned more in the Squadrons discussion. The space side of the game was incredible for its time. The PVP community was pretty large on the servers I played on and very competitive.
I'm still in contact with several of my guild from SWG, a few of whom I know are going to be playing this as well.
While I have very fond memories of that game, it is very much a situation of looking back through rose colored glassed. I've tried SWGEMU and it's......there. That's about as nice as I can put it.
- @WedgeFan I hear you. A lot depends on the people you play with too. For it's time, it was great, but I can't imagine it would hold up today at all.
