This game feels awful. It is like driving through a sea of molasses without a steering wheel. I am in the Republic of Ireland EU and all I hear on the voice comms are American accents. I am fairly certain I am connecting to US servers all the time with my XBOX. Is there no way of changing to an EU server as with BF2???? The built-in deliberate restrictive delays to maneuvers...or just trying to keep up with a moving target make this game suck. The movement is as enjoyable and satisfying as trying to CLAP UNDERWATER!!!

@SD13_CAGE Yes, I see the AVIATOR button layout now. It would seem I was set on DEFAULT - so I'm presuming I have been at default all along. You made a very knowledgable analysis of a possible cause... but no the issue persists. I learned a lot about the AVIATOR thumstick error though - thank you! For my current issue...I tried giving myself more turning maneuverability via a more relevant LOADOUT by sacrificing my speed and engine power. So I just sit in one spot a shoot enemy vessels like a turrent gunner....until I a spotted just sitting in one spot!! :D I conclude the issue is definitely caused by local upload/download server-based ping rates. Connecting to the USA kills EU players. An EU player needs highend highspeed broadband to any way counter this ingame issue. I really need local server support for Ireland/UK.

FLYING THROUGH TREACLE!! Or flying underwater - not in a vacuum or gas - that is how this game FEELS. I get the developers wanted us to feel that delayed wobble motion as seen in the Trench Run in the original STAR WARS movie when any ship tries to target another... that as you tries to line up for a shot - the target has already moved away in the opposite direction!!! VERY VERY frustrating gameplay though on a console. I wish it could just find a target and shoot. NOT spend my time chasing moving targets about only to lose them because they are flying MUCH FASTER than I can line up for a shot. 🕹️

@CLEARBAY327 "until I a spotted just sitting in one spot!!"Just a heads up: the speed at which your ship turns heavily depends on your throttle setting. You turn the fastest when it is set at 50% throttle. 100% makes you turn slower. Sitting still however is the worst, you can barely turn at all.

@court_jester77x Thank you. Yes. I do try varying throttle settings yes. But strangely sitting still allows me more time to line up on a target and guess their track. There is much more chance of a hit!

@CLEARBAY327 I mean that you have the roll and pitch set to the same thumbstick, rather than the default controls which are pitch and yaw on the same stick.

If you have got roll and pitch set to the same thumbstick then the sluggishness you’re feeling is the now infamous Aviator bug. I’ll let you Google it as I’m at my wits end with it, but suffice to say it’s a bug that EA have acknowledged but aren’t willing/able/motivated to fix.

@CLEARBAY327 Another tip is to turn you’re Yaw and Pitch sensitivity up between 75 and 80.

@CLEARBAY327 there are some great tips here. I'll add two engine types that could help: microthruster (maneuverability), or propulsion (100% acceleration). I prefer the propulsion engine. Also, when in a tie-F/I/B you can shunt subsystem power to engines to fill boost (learn boost/drifting).
